My old crew coach used to say that when you’re faced with a decision and don’t know which way to go, choose the harder road— the one you most want to avoid— because more often than not, that’s the right one. Kick the drift. Take the hard road.

“Christians are a race of dragon‑fighters. Our sons are born to this. Someone ought to tell them.”
Got to being a dad/drill sergeant this week.
Taught combatives, ran drills, told ghost stories that may or may not have traumatized a few 10-year-olds.
Iliad Athletics is building the kind of place these young boys need. I cannot stress how important it is that boys are not robbed of gritty experiences because of the soft tyranny of low expectations.
Love this camp, love these kids, and love watching them turn into little warriors. taken in Hillsdale, Michigan by @l.h.waters

I had the privilege of training for a few weeks at @jacksonwink_mma.

This is the first test of a Legion Twelve development pipeline designed to identify high-potential leaders, embed them in elite training environments, and integrate what they learn back into the Legion. by @l.h.waters

Didn’t get the win—but I’m grateful I got to step in there and chase something real. If you’re gonna fail, fail big. Fail fast. Fail publicly. That’s how you grow.

Huge thank you to everyone who got me here:
@dragonsdencombatsports —Coach Paul & Coach @larkyndasch, thank you for starting it all.
Coach Mike Cantrell—thank you for sharpening me and believing in me.
@mittenmuaythai & @sfsmartialarts —grateful for the work and the push.
Andriy—my brother, couldn’t have done this without you.
My family—thank you for loving me through it all.
And most of all—Jesus Christ, my King. Always faithful. Always present. by @l.h.waters

10/24/2025 | Legion XII Goes Public

Our first outreach event is in the books. With our first public appearance, we introduced the mission, met new faces, and shared the vision behind the Legion.

We wish we had more photos to capture it all, but the conversations and connections made that day mattered far more.

Thank you to everyone who came out. The movement is growing.

✠ Next Step: Recruitment for chapter leads opens soon.
✠ Make an investment in the mission through our website.
✠ Subscribe to our Substack to stay in the fight.
✠ DM us to get involved.
