In the spring of 2025, I heard very distinctly from the Lord to quit my job as an educator. You can imagine the panic this caused, especially because I truly loved my job.

After praying for clarity and seeking wise counsel, I realized it wasn’t a command to resign then, it was a warning that by spring of 2026 I would no longer be at my school.

I tried many things in my own will to figure out what would come next, especially knowing I’d be earning my Master’s in School Counseling. But nothing I pursued gave me peace.

Then, in June, our school went through a “restructuring,” laying off all educators and school personnel. And yet, God had already gone before me. The Lord had placed an opportunity in my lap that I’ll be pursuing in Asia in just a few months.

This isn’t a post about being “lucky” enough to leave before being fired, it’s about obedience and trust.

Because of that obedience, I was able to leave my job, step into purpose through Kingdom projects, and prepare for a new journey in another country.

What felt like uncertainty was really preparation. What felt like a warning was really God giving me time to trust Him. God is truly faithful and I hope you’ll follow my journey!!

Earlier this month, I was blessed with the opportunity to travel with my church and Act4Nations, in partnership with Impact Africa, to experience one of the most life-changing mission trips of my life. Words will never be able to explain how my Heavenly Father moved in our lives and in the lives of those we encountered.

So far, when individuals ask me about the mission trip, I respond with, “It was life-changing”—and it was. However, it was so much more than that. I experienced healing, witnessed miracles, my faith in my Father has increased tremendously, and my awe of God is basically through the roof!

To those of you who’ve donated, prayed, and/or shared my fundraiser—thank you a million times and more. Your contribution has truly impacted me for a lifetime. God is ALWAYS working, and I’m excited to share soon what He’ll have me do next for His Kingdom. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite moments serving in Africa. ❤️

Lastly, if you’re looking for more ways to sow into organizations committed to sharing the Gospel through love, please check out the two we partnered with.

I am so excited for the near future and all the lives I’ll impact, but more importantly be impacted by. Thank you UNF and everyone that has helped shape my experience.

Truthfully none of this would’ve been possible without the most high. So thank you God! 🙏🏾
