A letter from a black boy on cloud 9:

To my parents, thank you for sacrificing more than I could ever imagine so that I could do what I love.

To my family and friends, thank you for your unwavering love and support as I pursued my dreams.

To my team (especially Precision), I couldn’t imagine achieving this vision alongside anyone else (I love you gents more than life itself)

To my students, thank you for trusting me with your love for this art form. You each have made me so incredibly proud to be your mentor.

To Mario, thank you seeing something in me years ago when I couldn’t. Apart from this phenomenal experience, I wouldn’t be the man I am today without you and what you’ve built.

To Abba, no words can express the overwhelming thankfulness of my heart at this moment. Despite my unworthiness, inconsistency and lack of faith at times - you chose me. You put this dream into my heart and brought it into fruition. Thank you for every breath & every concept. May this gift of mine give you Glory for as long as you allow me to.

Shalom 🕊️

eyes wide open - my favorite piece of art to date.

this solo means a lot more to me than it’s 1st place position at a world championship.
it’s the product of God’s grace, ideation and healing through a difficult season.
it’s my greatest act of storytelling.
it’s is a window to help you see my soul grow.
