Are you tired of waterfall pics? Sorry ... just one more.
I give you Gullfoss on a very windy day. The strong winds suck the spray from the falls back up from the gorge, and blows it out across the other side of the ravine. Very cool and wet the see!

For waterfall Wednesday, here's majestic looking Godafoss. Looming in the background is either Vatnajökull or Tungnafellsjökull glacier. Both of which supply water to the Skjálfandafljót river on it's way to Godafoss. Another one of the beautiful locations in Iceland.

Hundreds of small churches dot the countryside of Iceland. Many of these churches often stand alone, adding beautifully to the stunning landscape. On this evening, the church comes appropriately accompanied by sunrays.

If you love waterfalls, then Iceland will not disappoint. Skogafoss is beautiful and one of Icelands largest waterfalls. An interesting thing about this waterfall and cliff is that they once marked the coastline. The coastline apparently receded seaward, but the cliffs remained, leaving the falls some 5km from the coast.

From a few weeks back. Cold temps and extremely high winds cooperated long enough for us to witness a lovely sunset over Jokusarlon glacier.

Another shot of the aurora from a different angle.
As I understand it, the walls of aurora stand straight-up into space. When the aurora passes above you, the illusion is that they converge to a center point known as the corona.
This is a shot of the corona as the aurora passed over our position.

It has been a long time since I last posted a picture. However, seeing the Aurora might have been the inspiration I needed to start posting again.
This shot of the dancing lights taken from the Skagit valley. What a wonderful display it was!
