The Matters. It’s not every day you get to marry your high school sweetheart. It’s even better if they are your best friend and your true love. Offically being one week married, is a drop in the ocean of our love. Easily the most emotionally rewarding and positively overwhelming day. How else can you encapsulate all the years, memories, loss, gains, and life we lived with each other outside of happy tears. Our wedding day was so perfect in every way that it was probably due to all the storms we endured literally up to the week before. We love and appreciate everyone who could make our day so special and memorable. No one wants to write this the week of their wedding but I feel I have to at least let you all know what’s going on in my life. Thursday 5/7/2026, a week before our wedding, I blacked out without warning as I slammed into my porch pole and then the brick wall to left side on the camera on slide 2. Luckily I came to a few mins later, was able to call Amanda from work, and she rushed me to the hospital. Come to find out, I had 6 inches of blood clots in my right leg femoral artery (slide 3). You can see the swelling I noticed in my calf on Wednesday night. They were able to extract them all but what happened was one dislodged and got into my lungs which is what knocked me out. Had I not hit the wall/ground so hard, I might have died. Happy to say that I am home and ready for the week of my wedding, but not without some major changes in my life. I will be on blood thinners now, so very sadly, I was informed from all 5 doctors I spoke to that I must retire from contact sports to protect my life. Honestly I’m heartbroken and feel like I literally have run into a life brick wall. But, I’m more focused on marrying the most supportive and loving person in 6 days who has proven, time and time again, she will be there by my side for anything. Couldn’t think of a more definitive way for the universe to show she is the one meant to be my wife. by @l_train73

How lucky 🍀 am I that I got to experience a Bachelor trip so Legendæríe in Ireland 🇮🇪. Getting this many friends together would be impossible, but getting this many brothers was easy. I felt my ancestors calling to me to drink more pints of Guinness and unbelievably, another pint to follow. There is probably nothing to describe how I feel emotionally how they all made it happen for me and we were able to get the trip out of the group chat. I love my boys and I loved this week. It might not be my last week as a fiancé, but it was probably the last week we all get to do this before life gets so complicated. 4 more of us get married in the next year. Highly recommend asking your irish pied piper to play rattlin’ bog after a few pints.
