You probably wouldn’t believe my number one tactic for getting past fear & progressing on the bike… Cold plunges. 🧊

When you willingly do something your brain does not want you to do, you’re proving you’re in control — not the voice that screams no. 🤯 Damn, I wish someone had taught me this years ago!!

That same mental muscle is what lets you drop into a line when your mind says go and your brain says stop. I've experienced it a few times where the mind and body are doing something gnarly and the brain has a delayed reaction like "wait.... we're doing whaaat?!!" 🧠

I wanted to share these tactics for anyone else who's feeling stuck, or on a plateau with in anything in life.

👉 Swipe through for the full breakdown — and let me know what has also worked for you, or what you are willing to try!

probably the coolest looking feature i've unlocked in a bike park!😎

thanks to @_alexholme for being the first in our group to go for it (well done!!) as soon as we dropped in i somehow managed to not think about it, got in my aggressive stance and as the kids would say "grip it and rip it!"🤘🏼

i'm not sure who was in control at that moment. it wasn't my brain but it wasn't me either... does that make sense to anyone? 🤔 halfway on the feature my brain had realized what we were doing... it was as if i had tricked it and it finally caught on.... but when it started protesting i was already over it. cue the surge of adrenaline and the shaky legs! 😜 i love mtb!

thanks @kickinghorsemtn for the fun times! 🎉

This wasn't fun at all, don't try it 🤪

First time riding at night but also first time trying out an e-bike!

Would you try either one?

3 summers of @biketobycreekadv and I finally had a decent clear on the big 3 jumps near the top of Party Train.

One weekend left - can you guess what my goal is?

Don't worry, I'm also surprised I made the podium. 😂

Genuinely stoked to share it with these two badass babes @chilltarryn & @crabbtacular - way to go girls!!🤘🏼

Thanks for cheering the loudest @lorene.keitch and thanks @geoffcalv for playing along and putting on a fun community race 😅

Great job to everyone who raced and had some personal accomplishments too!! 👏🏼

Cranbrook, BC has some surprisingly cool trails!! The up-track is chill and there's lots of cool rocks to mtb on. Don't forget to pay your @wildhorsecyclingclub dues.🖤

Can't pass up a skinny feature! This one is on Green Chicken in Cranbrook and it has been on my hit list.

Wait until you see my side knobs in action 😂 they saved my derailleur from dying!

Apparently we like jumps now 💁🏻‍♀️

I know it's not much, but for me to go from hating jumps at the start of the year to frothing over them is a huge step. I'd like to thank my sexy @norcobicycles Torrent for helping me get there 👏🏼

The baby bar turns are opening the door to hopefully better style!

What was the first maneuver you did in the air? Or what is one you'd like to try?

Ski Leigha has officially re-entered the chat.❄️

Bike Leigha is still very much here… but I'm already frothing over future powder turns and ripping around the mountain. The biannual switch has started in my mind! 🎿

Who else is getting excited for laps in Taynton Bowl and Extreme Dream Zone @panoramaresort ?!

Sometimes the best shots are the ones you didn't intentionally take! 📸

I love pulling a still from a video and realizing it’s actually cooler than the clip... 😂 Especially @kickinghorsemtn when the views do a lot of the work.
