🇮🇱 On the eve of October 7, I’ve been thinking about an evening that has stayed with me.

On October 29, 2025, I attended Voices of Courage: Three Women, One Vision, where three remarkable women who serve with Magen David Adom shared their stories:

Arz Jindawe — Muslim
Lelyan Hasson — Druze
Tehila Kadosh — Jewish

Three Israeli women. Three different faiths and traditions. Standing side by side as volunteer paramedics, united by one extraordinary purpose: to save lives. ❤️‍🩹

Listening to their firsthand stories of courage, resilience and compassion was incredibly moving. But what has stayed with me most is the friendship and respect they hold for one another’s beliefs, traditions and identities.

As we remember the lives taken on October 7, honor those who survived, pray for those still carrying unimaginable loss, and reflect on everything that has happened since, I keep coming back to what these women represent:

That humanity is still possible. That our differences do not have to divide us. And that choosing to protect and value human life is one of the most powerful things we can do.

So grateful to Rabbi Elana and our Rodef Sholom community for bringing this conversation to us, and to these extraordinary women for sharing their stories and for the lifesaving work they do every day.

May the memories of those we lost be a blessing.
May there be healing for all who are suffering.
And may we someday know peace. 🕊️

Serving apples, honey, teshuvah and an unreasonable amount of Jewish AI drip. 🍎🍯✡️

Rosh Hashanah marks the creation of Adam and Eve, the first human beings, and the beginning of the human story. Before there were nations, borders, religions or divisions, there was simply humanity, created in the image of God. 🌎✨

5787, may we know who we are, remember where we came from, laugh loudly, love fiercely, repair what we can, forgive where we can, and leave this world a little kinder than we found it.

Our Jewish identity teaches us to treasure life, pursue justice, welcome the stranger, ask questions, wrestle with God, and begin again.

Here’s to another trip around the sun with our little mishpacha. May the coming year be sweeter, gentler and more peaceful for all of us. 🌎💙

May our children inherit not only our traditions, but our belief that every human life is sacred. 🌈💖🙏🏼

L’Shana Tova U’Metuka 🍎🍯✨

Reflecting back to Hanukkah we hold the light a little tighter 🕎✨

Judaism teaches that children arrive with a “pure neshama” a soul unburdened by sin or moral compromise. Before they are shaped by fear, ego, or harm, they reflect divine light in its most unfiltered form. This is why children are often described as being closest to God. Their innocence isn’t naïveté…. 🙏🏼✨It’s spiritual clarity.✡️

This year, lighting candles with our babies felt especially holy; a quiet act of faith, beauty, & continuity in a world that has known so much heartbreak.

We remember October 7th, & we mourn every innocent life lost on all sides. Praying for the souls taken far too soon, for the families forever changed, & for healing where there is unimaginable pain. 💔
And still, we light candles.

Because this is who we are. ✡️
A people who choose light over darkness, life over despair, faith over fear. A people who endure.

May the blessings of Hanukkah stay with us long after the flames have gone out; protecting our children, strengthening our hearts, & guiding us forward with compassion, resilience, & hope.
From generation to generation, the light continues. Hanukkah 5786 🤍✨
