Series 03 — Range Day
Location: Mariners Point Golf Center, Foster City, California

Right along the San Francisco Bay, Mariners Point is equal parts driving range, short-game facility and nine-hole par-3 course. Beginners, juniors, wedge grinders and after-work golfers all share the same bays as the sun sets over the water.

On Wednesdays, a range session rolls straight into a skins game. This one was about finding a more reliable swing path and letting the driver go, straightening out the long ball before taking it to the course.

Series 02 — The Local Muni
Location: Monarch Bay Golf Club, San Leandro, CA

Above all, what makes Monarch Bay special is its community. There’s a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere that captures the charm of a municipal golf course on a warm twilight evening. You’ll find regulars who spend hours working on their game at the range without ever stepping onto the course, while others gather on the patio with their choice of beverage, catching up with friends as they overlook the 1st and 10th tees.

Series 03 — Range Day
Location: Pleasanton Golf Center, Pleasanton, California

Pleasanton driving range. One of the precious few in the Bay Area where you can hit off natural grass. It also happens to be open late, and the guys are taking full advantage as dusk turns into nighttime. The focus for this evening's session? Conquering that dreaded "early extension" move.

Rehearse your downswing keeping your butt back while your chest stays down, then rotate your left hip back and around. The drill consists of a double pump to engrain the movement by doing an overly exaggerated feel.
