📌POLIGNANO A MARE 3-DAY ITINERARY

DAY 1 (Old Town + Food + Sunset)
• Start at Il Super Mago del Gelo. Grab a cornetto, cappuccino, and try the famous caffè speciale (espresso + cream + lemon zest + homemade amaretto). It’s right near the entrance to the old town, making for the perfect first stop.🍋

• Walk through the old town’s cobblestone streets, whitewashed buildings, tiny piazzas, and look for the poetry trail hidden on doors, walls, and staircases.

• Grab a puccia from Gola Snack da Vito while wandering through the centre.

• Continue exploring; stop for panzerotti from La Rotellina and focaccia from Focacceria Delle Noci along the way.

• Treat yourself to gelato at Caruso Gelateria 🍨 (considered one of the best in Puglia).

• End the day by taking in the sunset from Belvedere su Lama Monachile, Scalinata Volare, Pietra Piatta, or Belvedere su Polignano a Mare.

• Enjoy dinner in the old town. Some popular options include Osteria dei Mulini and Antiche Mura.

DAY 2 (Beach + Sea Caves)
• Grab an easy breakfast at a local bar in the old town, like Pasticceria Chiarolla or Bar Turismo.

• Stroll from the old town to Cala Porto to spend the morning at Lama Monachile Beach; swim, sunbathe, or watch cliff divers from the pebbled shore.💦

• Head to Pescaria (@pescariaofficial) for lunch. Try their famous seafood sandwich and fried calamari.

• Take a boat tour to explore Polignano a Mare’s famous sea caves and see the coastline from the water.

• Splurge on dinner at Grotta Palazzese (@ristorantegrottapalazzese), the iconic cave restaurant overlooking the sea (book in advance!).

DAY 3 (Day Trip to Monopoli)
• Head to nearby Monopoli and wander the charming old town and harbour.

• Spend the day strolling narrow streets, stopping for a long lunch, seaside aperitivo, and soaking up the slower coastal vibe before heading back.

• Return to Polignano for one last golden hour.✨

🇮🇹Still dreaming of Polignano a Mare.

One of Puglia’s many gems, this small coastal beach town is known for its clear Adriatic waters and jaw-dropping limestone cliffs decorated with whitewashed houses.

Located about 35 minutes from Bari by train, this picturesque town boasts natural sea caves, an historic cliffside old town, and the famous Lama Monachile Beach. If your 2026 Italian summer involves Puglia in any way, a visit to Polignano a Mare is a must!

Things to do here:
• Il Super Mago del Gelo: Try the “caffè speciale” (an espresso shot made with cream, lemon zest, and Super Mago’s homemade amaretto) and any of the other treats on the menu.

• Old Town: Explore the charming cobblestone streets winding through narrow whitewashed buildings; keep an eye out for the poetry trail left along the doors, stairs, and walls.

• Must-Try Local Foods: Try a puccia (a type of bread roll) from Gola Snack da Vito, a seafood sandwich & fried calamari from Pescaria (@pescariaofficial) panzerotti from La Rotellina, and a focaccia from Focacceria delle Noci.

• Gelato: Caruso Gelateria is considered the best gelato in Puglia!

• Cala Porto (or Lama Monachile Beach): Swim in turquoise waters or sunbathe and watch cliff divers from the pebbled beach shore surrounded by rugged cliffs.

• Sea Caves: Take a boat tour to the sea caves or enjoy a picturesque meal inside the town’s most famous sea cave turned restaurant (@ristorantegrottapalazzese).

• Sunset: Watch the sky turn different shades of pink, purple, and orange from the Lama Monachile lookout (or “Belvedere su Lama Monachile”) and the Scalinata Volare, Pietra Piatta, or Belvedere su Polignano a Mare.

It’s officially spring and that odd time of year again when we don’t know whether to expect sun, snow, or both. Here are some activities you can enjoy during this transitional period in Quebec City:

• Visit a sugar shack (La Bûche @labucheqc is a must❗️)
• Attend the Shred the North World Cup in Mont-Saint-Anne from March 22-24 🏂
• Enjoy some spring skiing at one of the four hills in the Quebec City region
• Watch the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 23rd (starting at 14:00) 🍀
• If the conditions allow, you can still go cross-country skiing at the Plaines of Abraham
• Unfortunately, it seems that ice-skating at Place d’Youville has come to a close for the season, but if you’re really keen, you can still visit the Centre de Glaces Intact and the Patinarium du Méga Parc ⛸️

It reached 17°C in Ontario last week 🫢 while I’m not a huge winter fan, this not-so-wintery winter season has had me thinking about all of the cold-weather destinations I actually want to experience❄️. Here’s what I have so far:

• Finnish Lapland for the huskies & reindeer and to sleep in an igloo under Aurora Borealis
• Iceland for the lagoons, glaciers, geysers, black beaches, and frozen waterfalls
• The Dolomites for the snowy peaks, frozen lakes, luxury stays, and starry nights
• Austria for Hallstatt covered in snow and @aquadome_hotel.therme.spa
• Quebec to sleep among the wolves and see the wildlife at @parcomega
• Antarctica for the emperor penguins (of course) 🐧
• Alberta for the iconic Lake Louise, Abraham Lake’s ice bubbles, and Canmore
• Sledding, snowmobiling, and Northern Lights hunting in Sweden, Norway, Greenland, Alaska, and The Yukon
• Sweden to visit @icehotelsweden
• St. Moritz to watch snow polo 🐎
• Norway for a winter train tour and the fjords
• Greenland for the summer midnight sun🌞
• Alaska for the natural mineral hot springs

What am I missing? #winterbucketlist #wintertravel #winterdestinations
