I did this to create a more collaborative and creative environment for builders, and literally anyone who’s looking for a space to focus and work in.

I’ve been a barber. From basement haircuts in high school — dorm bathroom haircuts in college — to working inside barbershops during and after. The barber industry has always found a way to reel me in. Now I run a creative barber studio in my city.

I’ve lived this industry from every angle — and I always knew there was a better way to do this.

So I built it. I’ve never been more locked in. More obsessed. More focused. And now it’s time to tell you the story.

Every screen you see in this video — I designed it, developed it, and shipped it. This is @booth__app. A marketplace that connects barbershop owners with barbers looking for their next chair. A discovery platform so barbers can find the right space in their city. A management system so owners can see their business clearly — revenue, roster, scheduling, all in one place.

Barbershop owners — you are the foundation of this platform. The supply side of BOOTH only grows when you list your shop. Every chair you put on here is another opportunity for a barber to find their home and for your business to grow. We need you in this. This doesn’t work without you.

The barbershop ecosystem is rising in influence, in economic power, in culture. BOOTH is the platform built to match that energy and take it even further.

Many businesses—especially small, and local — are operating without the digital tools they need to grow and compete in this digital age.

Running a business is hard enough, and navigating technology can feel like an added challenge for non technical founders. Take Mailos Eggs & Dairy, a wholesale egg and dairy company in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Since 2019, they’ve been serving Chicago communities with essential food products but until now, they had no digital presence.

At Lab Ninety Six we’re helping them bridge that gap. We’re building their site using the absolute best tools on the market.

We built this project using Webflow, added a Calendly booking system, and integrating analytics tools like Microsoft Clarity to understand customers and improve their digital and d2d operations.

The work we do isn’t just about simply building websites — it’s about helping businesses grow, educating, and being a guide to help them take advantage of the tools at our disposal.

This site was crafted on Webflow, leveraging its latest features to deliver a responsive and visually engaging design.
We integrated Stripe to handle membership payments with ease. This system allows barbers to subscribe, manage their bookings, and make payments securely—all within the site. It’s fast, reliable, and built to scale alongside ABSworkspace.

From appointment scheduling to payment management, Google Workspace plays a key role in streamlining operations. It ensures a professional and efficient backend setup while maintaining an easy-to-use interface for customers.

This site was optimized for mobile-first experiences. The landing page is a prime example of this focus, ensuring barbers can book, pay, or learn about the space seamlessly through 1 page.
