I’ve been a barber. From basement haircuts in high school — dorm bathroom haircuts in college — to working inside barbershops during and after. The barber industry has always found a way to reel me in. Now I run a creative barber studio in my city.

I’ve lived this industry from every angle — and I always knew there was a better way to do this.

So I built it. I’ve never been more locked in. More obsessed. More focused. And now it’s time to tell you the story.

Every screen you see in this video — I designed it, developed it, and shipped it. This is @booth__app. A marketplace that connects barbershop owners with barbers looking for their next chair. A discovery platform so barbers can find the right space in their city. A management system so owners can see their business clearly — revenue, roster, scheduling, all in one place.

Barbershop owners — you are the foundation of this platform. The supply side of BOOTH only grows when you list your shop. Every chair you put on here is another opportunity for a barber to find their home and for your business to grow. We need you in this. This doesn’t work without you.

The barbershop ecosystem is rising in influence, in economic power, in culture. BOOTH is the platform built to match that energy and take it even further.

We’re starting in Chicago. Home of the first barber college. A city that has defined barbering culture for generations. The right place to build something that changes the world.

My people. It’s time to build the founding team at BOOTH!!!!!

For those of you new here we’re a Chicago startup connecting barbers and shops through discovery, hiring, and booth rentals.

Today, we have 220+ user signups. We held off on releasing iOS until we crossed 200 users. Now we’re taking that next step, it’s time to go harder then ever before.

The demand we’re seeing is real. We’re at an inflection point in the industry with the technological tools now at our disposal, and BOOTH has an opportunity to become part of how this industry operates and advances.

I’m looking for hungry, ambitious people to build alongside me. Engineers, designers, content creators, and people who can drive growth through sales, marketing, and partnerships. Self-starters who bring ideas and take action.

I’m especially interested in people putting the newest tools in tech to work pushing what they can build, create, and accomplish with them.

I’m looking for people who see the opportunity and are down to join the founding team and build alongside me in Chicago and or wherever they are.

As a first-generation Latino founder, I want to build one of the greatest companies to come out of Chicago. We’re just getting started.
