We shipped Guest Pass after seeing more barbers in the industry work across multiple shops. Some are building their presence in two or three locations, sometimes even across cities.

Guest Pass gives shops a way to offer short-term access to a booth, with the length and rate set by the shop. Barbers can discover those openings and connect with shops beyond the place where they usually work.

We see it as a way to make those connections easier to find and more structured. A barber can reach out to a favorite shop in another city. A shop can welcome a visiting barber. Both can start with a clearer understanding of the arrangement.

That’s one use for it, and there are plenty more: visiting a new market, working a busy weekend, creating content, sharing skills, or spending time with a team. We’ll learn from how barbers and shop owners use Guest Pass as it rolls out.

Today we’re launching BOOTH Search on Product Hunt, helping barbers find shops to work in and shop owners fill their open chairs. Enter a city, find available booths, compare rental options, and message an owner all from a search portal built on our already existing shop listings directory.

Alongside Search, we’re introducing Guest Pass to help barbers connect with shops for temporary work, build a clientele somewhere new, or spend time alongside a different team. It also supports connections for education, content creation, and creative collaboration, with the understanding that licensing requirements vary by location.

An International mode toggle expands Search beyond the U.S., with shops in cities including London, Tokyo, Mexico City, and Toronto. Together, these features bring us closer to a connected barbershop ecosystem where barbers can travel as artists, share their work, and find opportunities beyond their usual circles.

As of October 1, BOOTH includes 64 shops across 37 cities and 185 listed open booths.

We’re shipping updates everyday in Chicago, and we’ve been in open beta since December 28, 2025, Search and Guest Pass mark our final planned major release before leaving beta and seeking funding.

We’re still growing the directory. If your city comes up empty, let us know. We’ll reach out to shops in your area and work on bringing you more options.
