Important Sylvan Hills and neighbors.
Notice regarding tomorrow morning (Saturday, Oct 3rd)! 3,000 people🏃‍♂️💨

We just found out this week that tomorrow morning, @therace_uc Half Marathon & 5K will be taking over Sylvan Road.

@cityofatlantaga @atldot @atlcouncil have permitted a complete street closure in both directions from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
While cars won't be able to get through and street parking is blocked, we have a quick reminder for our neighbors: Customers don't have to pay to run to La Bodega to get coffee and pupusas!
We will appreciate your support if you walk over to the store. Even though vehicle access is completely cut off and it’s a logistical puzzle, our doors will be open, and we will be ready to serve you.
Our amazing team is clocked in, being fully paid, and ready to welcome the neighborhood.
Whether you are cheering on the sidelines or looking for a walking destination to escape the traffic gridlock, come grab breakfast from scratch.
Good luck to all the runners, and see the rest of you on foot!

Have you ever had the Roh Bowl? That’s me!

@labodega.atl—or what I’ll forever call Buenos Días—have known me since I was a kid. They would make me slow down, sit down, and enjoy my food and coffee. They even named a breakfast bowl after me, which was *obviously* the best thing on the menu. They’ve also created jobs for students and folks going through hard times. I’ll forever root for them.

So of course, if I’m in South Atlanta, we’re talking community with pupusas. ❤️

As Commissioner, I’ll fight for the families and small businesses that make our communities work and make sure we’re using every tool we have to help them thrive. Also, because I’ve learned, I’m going to always take time to slow down, sit down, and enjoy food and conversation with the communities I love. by @labodega.atl
