Id like to take a minute to shine light on my classmate, teammate & friend. Back in 2007 when it was time to go to the Barber Board for the first time he was my Model. A model isn’t just a person you take it’s someone who should care and really are in your corner. To know Franklin you’d know he LIKES TO KNOW & LEARN and discuss ANY and EVERYTHING he’s always had a view on things and was open to hear yours. On our drive up to Raleigh in the middle of the night in the way up he asked so Hailey what all are they expecting from you and of me. I explained to the best of my knowledge being that I had gone 6 months prior as a model for one of my Barber Classmates to give me an idea of what to expect (literally took a razor shave to the face to get the scoop I was bumped up for weeks). He asked what would he have to do during my shave I told him just lay there I’ll do everything it’s 14 steps they will be looking for me to know how to do. “He said 14 steps for a shave” I told him yeah it’s a different position to stand and hold the razor for each one. He wanted to know so much that we basically went over the whole shave on the way up and he learned it. I told him in the beginning I’d be in the building taking a written test he was free to sit in the car until I finished then we would wait for the practical exam together it would be after lunch time. He said I’ll probably go to sleep since he had trouble falling or staying asleep had been going on for a while he said. After the test was over we linked up he wanted to know how it went so we talked about it while we waited I WAS SO NERVOUS THAT DAY he kept me calm. Finally time had come for the exam. They separated us by calling all the models up first to check hair length 3 inches min and had to have a good bit of stubble for the shave ( HE MADE THE CUT) and went to the back. Next was the Barber’s we came in as a group we introduced ourselves and where we graduated from they explained what they would be looking for. As we started the shave I go stuck on a step Franklin remembered not only my hand position but where I was to be standing. He moved his head and pushed his tongue discreetly to show my next step HE SAVED ME!!! by @labofcreations

This year for Mother’s Day I wanted to do something different. Had the thought of possibly taking my Mom, Step Mom, & Godmother out all at once for the first time. Was long overdue to have them all together but could seem to find the right time (STOP WAITING) so I went for it. I made a quick group chat and it was A GO!!! by @labofcreations
