When the artist can’t quite explain the effect they want, it’s up to the engineer to understand what their brain is hearing.

Ever wondered where that noise floor in your mix is coming from?

These 3 plugins can introduce modeled analog noise into your session. Before blaming your gear, check your settings.

Before we make music, I like to understand who I’m working with and what the project is about. Not every artist and engineer are going to be compatible—and that’s okay.

I always say, if there’s no chemistry, then I’m not the engineer for you.

It’s about getting on the same page with the project, expectations, respect, boundaries, studio etiquette, and how we’re going to work together.
A little conversation can go a long way. 🧪🎚️

Noise cancellation can only do so much. 🫠 Send help (or noise gates).

Emotions Over Gear.

The creative aspect will always be more important than the technical aspect.

Don’t let the lack of expensive gear stop you from creating. If all you have is your phone, your lyrics, and a beat, start there. Create with what you have and keep moving forward.

Progress will always beat perfection

The people at the bottom only think 'me, me, me.' To receive a blessing, you must be open to give and receive. Those at the top share and collaborate, that's why they get blessed. #GivingAndReceiving #AbundanceMindset #Generosity #Collaboration #Blessings #MindsetShift #Community #SuccessTips by @labratent

Hustle culture? Straight cap. It's a facade. Gen Z gets it – work smart, enjoy life. Don't work yourself to death. Your body needs you to slow down and live. #HustleCulture #WorkLifeBalance #GenZ #Mindset #Burnout #SmartWork #SelfCare #Reels #Motivation #ModernWork by @labratent
