This last 13 of August we went to Acadia national park, it was new moon and it was peak season for perseidis shooting stars! This place has so little light pollution that this is the result of a single shot with D850+samyang 14mm. You can see the green tail of the shooting stars on the left, which was probably magnesium or oxygen from the atmosphere! The sky was so clean and so dark we could see so many shootings stars I wasn’t even counting. And being able to see the center of tour home galaxy Milky Way is always breathtaking.

Met the landlord. Stambecco on his own terms, somewhere above 3000 m. Shot from below with the 70-200, which felt like the correct amount of distance to keep.

Waiting for the moon to slip behind the ridge. Crescent moonset over the granite spires above Rifugio Nacamuli, 3000 m, Valle d’Aosta. D850 + 70-200, handheld and hoping. Earthshine was just barely there. Some nights the mountain gets out of the way just long enough.

Yesterday we had a full moon! But I was at a Nobuo Uematsu concert and honestly? No regrets. The sky was perfectly clear, which would have made for incredible moonscapes of Milan, but the moon will be back, Uematsu doesn’t come around as often. Finally, I gave Switzerland the visit it truly deserves 🇨🇭✨
I was completely blown away by the Swiss countryside — postcard landscapes everywhere and an incredible quality of food that makes every stop unforgettable.

These photos were taken between Lausanne and Gruyères, a journey filled with rolling hills, charming villages, and breathtaking views.

And the fondue in Gruyères?
Absolutely unmissable — one of those experiences you must have at least once if you go to Switzerland 🧀🔥

If you’re an Alien fan, there’s also an unexpected surprise waiting for you: the fascinating world of H. R. Giger, the visionary artist behind Alien, whose museum offers a dark and captivating contrast to the village’s medieval beauty 👽🖤
