The Room Remembers (2026) 1/3 $700
From an ongoing exploration of isolation, memory, and the hidden narratives of ordinary spaces.

Shots from the Artist’s Reception at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art @lacda_official last Thursday. It’s always a vibrant evening at LACDA on ArtWalk. I have more to say about the piece that Kira @floofie and I did earlier this year on my previous post. Rex Bruce, Exec Director of LACDA seemed a little disappointed that I didn’t have my usual hyper-controversial and subversive work on display, but we enjoyed a conversation about the potential meaning underlying this piece. I’m including photos of several pieces that were my favorites in the show.

This image will be part of the Electron Salon at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, @lacda_official. I’ll be at the Artist’s Reception around 8:30 pm, Aug 6, after I attend the Artist’s Reception at the RCAA gallery @rcaa.gallery in Riverside. Kira @floofie and I shot this in March in Ridgecrest as part of our multi-day trip to the high desert to include Trona Pinnacles, Ballarat and Death Valley. When I saw this room we immediately got a Twin Peaks vibe, not from any particular scene but by a shared visual and psychological grammar. As though something inexplicable has happened or is about to happen. The fact that the same landscape painting is on either side of the door was unsettling. For me, it also resonates with the work of the artist Edward Hopper with the geometric organization of the room and the sense of isolation portrayed by Kira - physically present but psychologically unavailable. It’s a psychological portrait with a strong sense of narrative ambiguity, constructed identity, psychological tension, and the unsettling possibilities hidden within an apparently ordinary scene. The image raises a lot of questions that will remain unanswered. taken in LACDA Los Angeles Center for Digital Art by @lacda_official
