Not gonna lie, this one hurts… a lot. It’s hard not to define yourself by one singular moment — whether it’s a high or a low. Officially closing this chapter of my life has been incredibly difficult to accept. I have a lot of questions… a lot of whys that I may never get the answers to — and that’s been one of the hardest parts. One of the biggest lessons I’ve had to learn is that you can give your absolute all and still not get the outcome you hoped for. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give your all anyway. I thank God for allowing me to go as far as I did. I’m so grateful for my support system and for every single amazing person I was blessed to meet along the way. I went from: 43 feet in shot put (high school) —> over 56 feet (17.36m to be exact lol) Never threw hammer —> 62.40m In Ohio State history, I’m ranked #3 in: • Indoor shot • Outdoor shot • Hammer throw I’m also proud to be a 4x NCAA Regional Qualifier in shot put and a 2x qualifier in hammer ✅ People may not always remember your stats, but they’ll remember how you made them feel. So please — be kind to one another, and make all the ✨memories✨ you can. Here’s to an unforgettable 12-year track journey. 🤍 (here’s my throws progression over the years😭😭) by @lacey.stringer
In green but still the blue print 💚 here’s to 23🥳 by @lacey.stringer
it’s been a journey but I have been grateful for every bit. I have been asked a lot after graduating “what’s next?”. There was a lot of reflection and processing my 3 years competing as a buckeye and just as I was about to stop i realized that I have so much left to give. I am so happy that I can say I have officially been accepted into the Ohio States Criminal Justice Graduate program were I will be continuing my academic journey and alsooo taking my last year of eligibility im really going to miss my OG teammates so so so much. You have been there for my whole experience as a buckeye and you will forever have a place in my heart❤️. with that being said im also so excited to meet my new ones ! I want to end with saying I can never thank my coach (The bald man) enough. You constantly push me not only athletically but mentally to help me grow into the person I am today and i am very thankful for you. time to go as far as I can ❤️ #finallap by @lacey.stringer
