This isn’t about adding another thing to your to-do list. It’s about giving yourself permission to step away from it all for a moment.

Mushy mom emotions incoming… from the second I knew of his existence, the first sounds of the rhythm of his heart beat, the moment I saw his little face I have loved this boy so much. He has been my best friend, my road dog, and now growing up to be such a great young man. He puts more energy into his crafts and friendships over anyone I know. We never have to remind him to do his homework, to get good grades, or be helpful. He took this role as his first school sport very seriously, he missed one practice, not by choice, and was ready to go in every chance he could. He studied his plays, listened, and supported his team. He washed his jersey every night before games, and talked to his teachers about missing assignments on his traveling days. They didn’t get to go as far as they wanted, but they still stood together as a team with smiles on their faces. I’m so proud of you Jaxx! #24 ON TO THE NEXT! by @laceyaslett

Who knew there could be so much growth in a season within seasons 🌻🌸🌾🍂 This first garden journey is where so many things transpired from just simple thoughts on a paper to a full blown business, and an up and coming business. It started with a piece of paper mapping out hundreds of seeds, to sprouts, and then so much fruit! I’ve ate vegetables from the ground, and have had fresh flowers all summer on my table. Now I just harvested over 30 pumpkins, and tons of sunflower seeds for the next baseball season. I didn’t miss a single watering day, and I only had to chase off bugs in the last month. They took my winter squash with them, but I learned so much for next year. The kids got to try kohlrabi, which was a core memory of mine and my grandpa so many years ago, and ate hundreds of zucchini muffins. I’m sad to start winterizing her, but she’s coming back bigger and better next year 🍄‍🟫 by @laceyaslett

A little about me: I’m a mom of three, personal trainer, entrepreneur, country girl at heart, and forever somewhere between a good workout and a slow Sunday at home.

I love strong women, strong coffee, good food, beautiful spaces, getting dressed up, getting my hands dirty, and building a life that feels just as good as it looks.
