I had much grander plans for my cosmos this season.
And although they didn’t go quite according to plan…

Somewhere between all the mistakes, the learning, and the hurtles along the way, I grew something beautiful.

And more than anything, I grew even more excited to do it all again.

A little wiser next time. Hopefully🧡

These two were hard to part with. Some combinations just come together so beautifully, and I absolutely loved how these turned out.

Reminder: I do take bouquet orders! If you’d like to reserve upcoming bouquets,✨please message me✨and we can talk through what’s growing and what’s available.

And if you haven’t already: join the 👩‍🌾 Fresh Pick List to get first word on upcoming bouquets and what’s coming out of the garden.

Everything is grown here, and the selection changes with the season. Different flowers, different combinations, different moments in the garden.

Which, in my opinion, is the whole appeal.
I get that I’m biased🤭

Just try…
And your garden will love on you.

Even if you suck for awhile🥰

ACL Fest 2026 🎤🌞🕶️🍹🍺🍾 by @laceyjayk

My first experience at ACL. With my favorite people❤️‍🔥

We chased a 🐉 dragon and caught one!

We saw (actually the humans, not just the screens): LP, Bunt., Labyrinth, Live, Kings of Leon & Charli XCX.

Could not have had a better time. I knew it’d be an unreal experience, but it was probably one of the best days of my life to date🔥

Feelin alive. Feelin love. And feelin just a bit tired now😂👏

Do the things that bring you joy💛 by @laceyjayk

This is exactly the kind of flower that makes growing your own worth it. You’re not finding this thing sitting in a grocery store bucket.

Also, the bees are obsessed.

Barre & good bagels.

@scarlettsbagels popped up at @purebarre_fulshear yesterday to support our grand opening weekend!

From-scratch bagels after class is the kind of wellness programming I’m fully into🥯

Thanks for introducing your goods to our community, Vanessa!

If you’re a bagel lover, you must check out Vanessa’s IG & try some of her bagels. Supporting local community, talent & tastiness!💛

🍿FULL PRACTICAL MAGIC 2 REVIEW

I went into Practical Magic 2 fully expecting it to be bad.

I thought I was prepared.

Narrator: She was, in fact, not prepared… for how genuinely, bewilderingly, almost impressively bad it actually was.

The original was warm, feminine, dark & funny without constantly announcing what it was trying to say. It understood sisterhood, grief, love, friendship, female intuition & the power of women showing up for one another.

This one understood… BEIGE.

Everything looked like somebody typed “elevated witchy coastal grandmother” into Chat GPT & built an entire movie around the results.

The house, clothes, filters, people - everything was polished within an inch of its life.

These women are decades older now. Give me what age did to them: wisdom, humor, confidence, sex, friendship, grief - whatever! Let Gillian still be wild and flirty, but for the love of God, let her have evolved past 1998. Let Sally be older! Let her still be able to show her quirky, goofy, clumsy humor whilst having FACIAL EXPRESSIONS.

SPOILER ALERT:
Sandra Bullock’s face barely moved (like actually… pretty much didn’t move the entire movie, legit became distracting). Nicole Kidman’s arms made me sad for women (during the most powerful scene (all aspects) of the movie). These are women I ADORED, growing up… wildly talented, smart, charismatic, unique, risk-taking, stunning! I digress… back to it: the CGI looked like somebody’s Canva free trial expired halfway through production & the plot was more watered down then the Campbell’s soup we made in uni🫠

And yet… I still loved being there.
Not because this movie earned it (although my nostalgia for the original was biasedly strong).

But because: I saw it with my best friend.

Between whispering commentary & laughing at the absolute nonsense… IRONICALLY, THERE IT WAS: the friendship, sisterhood, authenticity w another woman.

Knowing that sometimes SHE is the key to unlocking your power.

FULL MOVING FACE, WRINKLES AND ALL!😂

2/5. Hanging off nostalgia

Transitioning through summer has been a full throttle experience of impatience, fatigue, frustration & LEARNING ALL OF THE THINGS.

But when I shift my mind to focus on the things I’ve learned & accomplished > how I had hoped to be further ahead; the season looks & feels much different.

I know more now than I did even three months ago. I’ve made mistakes I won’t make again. I’ve figured out what works, what absolutely does not - and to take things in stride w nature, rather than trying to force my (novice) planned outcome.

There’s a very long list of things I want to improve (and surely will be, indefinitely), but I’m trying to get better at recognizing that progress doesn’t always look like being “ahead.”

Sometimes it looks like knowing exactly what you’ll do differently next time.

But in the midst of everything… moments and views like this are truly what keep you soaking up every bit of the process❤️‍🔥

Orange flowers have never been my favorite. But so many of the orangies I grew this year have been changing that!

The caterpillars were also very excited about my cantaloupe…

I tried to save it. I could not. 😂

So I trimmed nearly the whole plant (saved a couple vines out of nothing but hope in the wind) before the bugs decided to move in to the perfectly healthy watermelon next door.
