A year and a half ago I got to have the experience of a lifetime and as of February 22, 2026 I got to share that experience with the world. Or at least the internet…
I don’t wanna spoil much but easy to say it changed my life. In a time where I was feeling lost, getting the opportunity to learn my family history gave me a further understanding of myself that I may not have gotten purely on my own.
Thank you to @forte_entertainment and Thank you to the amazing crew that guided us through this experience!! We miss you and hope to see you soon 🫶

I finally get to say, SUGARCANE is out!

What started as a concept 2 years ago, is now an indie feature. I honestly can’t express how rewarding this feels. We filmed SUGARCANE over the course of 5 months - with a pretty large break during the holidays.

Phoebe was challenging and I wanted to accurately portray the terror she experienced. I may have pushed myself too hard a few times and am incredibly grateful to have been surrounded by a team that knew when I needed a break and respecting that.

Huge congrats and thank you to @postmortemfilms @patlbaker @djaypostley and the incredibly talented cast of @josiejuliettewert @kellanjackson_ @themichaelmau and @bonnybreuer

I hope this story continues but in the meantime, keep rabbits the hell away from me. by @laceykatena
