The last two years have been some of the hardest of my life.

There have been days filled with grief, worry, stress, and moments where I honestly forgot what it felt like to simply smile. Losing my dad changed me in ways I never expected, and life has definitely thrown us more than our fair share of curveballs.

So when Dan surprised me with one of my dream vehicles, I wasn’t emotional because it was “just a car.” I was emotional because of what it represented.

Hope.
Love.
Being seen.
And a reminder that even after the hardest seasons, beautiful moments still find their way to you.

The fact that it’s the same beautiful blue as my daddy’s truck somehow makes it even more special. I’d like to think he had a little hand in this one. 💙😇

Dan… thank you. Thank you for always trying to make me smile, for believing I deserve good things even when I struggle to believe it myself, and for loving me through some of the hardest chapters of our lives.

I’ll never stop dreaming of my yellow Shelby Mustang with black stripes, but this Bronco has already stolen a huge piece of my heart.

I love you more than words can say. Thank you for making one of my dreams come true. ❤️ I also have to thank Roger and my brothers for helping Dan make this happen! I hate that this is how we have to spend Father’s Day now. We have lost many important people in our lives but losing you hit different. I am not the same person as I was. You should still be here enjoying this beautiful weather on your bike, spending time with your grand babies, working on the truck with Rich, walking the puppies, giving me tips on how to run a business, here with us! We’ve endured the hardest two years of our lives, I truly don’t know how we made it through. What I do know is that you were right there by my side coaching me through each and every moment. I can only pray that I’m making you proud! Until we meet again daddy…

Started the project of the summer at my local Kiddie Academy. Working in some extreme heat, baby birds, lots of caulking and a vision coming to pass. This little stink was down for the count with a stomach bug all weekend. She’s finally able to eat a little and asked her dad for sushi, because, priorities. She’s been getting a little dizzy when standing up, so she went back to bed during dinner. Asking if I could bring her sushi upstairs, I told her to give me a few and I’ll bring it up when I’m done eating.

Thirty seconds go by and suddenly I have a sushi delivery deadline.

Charli: “MOM! Can you bring up my sushi, please?”

Me: “Yes, Char! Give me 2 more minutes!”

Charli: “Ugh MOM! Hurry….one foot in front of the other!”

Speechless 🤦🏻‍♀️

It is with a heavy heart that our little buddy Mick crossed the rainbow bridge! You have no idea how much I’m going to miss your goofy “poop tooth” face, you licking my toes, smelling like you worked a long hard 14 hour shift at the frito factory, stealing Charli’s pot pies off the table, waiting for Mya at the door when she got off the bus everyday, when you’d whine at dad for not saying hi as soon as he stepped foot in the house, but most importantly the way you enjoyed the wind blowing on your face, playing tug o war, waiting for a treat even if you peed in the house, taking you on walks even though you sniffed every single blade of grass and poop 47 times. A good friend of mine told me “having a dog is both your greatest joy and biggest heartaches” and that couldn’t be more true! You “fell” into our laps for a reason! You completed our family buddy!
