When sharing the gospel, remember these 5 points. As you remember them you can start to expand on them in more detail.

This is what I teach to my kids as we’re driving in the car. I will randomly ask one of them “what’s the 5 points of the gospel.” Sometimes they’re like “ohhh dad really?” Because they feel like I’m making them repeat it. But then they speak them out and it’s teaching them and reminding them about the most powerful truth AND also how to tell someone else the gospel.

1. JESUS CAME
Born as a baby into human history to live as a sinless human and die as the perfect sacrifice for sin. This is why we celebrate Christmas because THE SAVIOUR was born.

2. JESUS DIED
The reason why Jesus came was because He was on a one way path to the cross to die for the sin of the world. Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We deserve judgment for our sin and that judgment is eternal separation from God. BUT, on that cross Jesus took the judgment of a perfect Holy God upon Himself so that we could be forgiven of our sin and made right with God.
If we don’t believe and trust in the salvation Jesus offers us on the cross, it means we are still in our sin and when we die we will be separated from Him for eternity in hell.

3. JESUS ROSE AGAIN
This is the hinge of Christianity. Without the resurrection, humanities hopes lie dead in a grave. BUT because He rose back to life conquering sin, death and the devil, it means He is God and we can come to life for eternity when we believe and trust in Jesus.

4. JESUS FILLS US WITH HIS SPIRIT
After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples over 40 days and then ascended into heaven leaving a promise that we would be filled with His Spirit. When we believe in Jesus, The Holy Spirit comes to live IN us as a seal of our eternal reality. Like a wedding ring to a bride, He is the promise of Gods covenant (commitment) to us.

5. JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN
Threaded through the story of the Bible is a coming day when the risen King Jesus returns for those who believe and trust and follow Him. We will spend ETERNITY with God in perfect love joy and peace in the new heaven and new earth. by @lachjones

Cool testimony from men’s prayer this morning.

The guy in the blue hat in the middle turned up to men’s prayer this morning. I met him in the foyer introduced myself and then asked if it was his first time to men’s prayer.

He’s like well it’s my first time to church.

I’m like you mean this church or first time to church ever.

He’s like first time ever to church.

I’m like ohhh wow you came to men’s prayer for your first ever experience of church. That incredible. Well we’re stoked you’re here. How did you find out about it and he says he’s been following the social media.

The men don’t hold back in prayer and worship instantly worshipping and praying as they always do.

Then at the end of the meeting I asked if we could pray for him and bless him and he said yes. Then 30+ men walked over to lay hands on him and lift their voices to pray blessing over him.

Then after prayer I have a prophetic word for him and he’s in tears.

Then another guy connects with him in the foyer and hears more of his story and ends up leading him to surrender His life to the Lord.

Then he goes and has coffee at the cafe with all the men.

THINGS HAPPEN WHEN PEOPLE PRAY!
Break up the fallow ground in prayer. Seek The Lord. Pray over your region. Pray for people to come to Christ by the power of The Holy Spirit. by @lachjones

Share the gospel today friends. by @lachjones

Not sure how to say it other than Tara and I are blown away that God would see His (our) children like this.

This is more than just our children being blessed, but a prophetic act to a generation that pastors kids are in a unique position. They are called along with their parents to be in the middle of the mission of the church. But anyone in pastoral ministry knows that pastoring is demanding and pastors kids can sometimes be on the receiving end of the demands coming on the parents.

Thanks @thebanning for listening and responding to The Holy Spirit and encouraging a generation of the church to see and hear. I was an absolute mess when this moment was happening. by @lachjones

In 2016 I had a wild encounter with God.
In this encounter I saw a vision of Australia and these spot fires popping up over the nation. As I kept watching I saw New Zealand come into view and the same thing happening in that nation.

I felt The Lord say there will be a fresh wind of His Spirit that will blow across these nations that will spark wild fires in homes, churches, communities, schools, universities, business and government. A fresh new season of these nations being the great southlands of the Holy Spirit.

I saw people walking into these hot spots and they were consumed with the presence of God. As they were consumed they walked out on fire and back to the place they came from and that sparked another wildfire.

Some spots burned brighter than others as more people in that area surrendered to what the Lord was wanting to do in that place.

I believe we are walking into the best days for the nations of Australia and New Zealand. These nations don’t need the doomsday prophets, they need people surrendered to The Lord and hungry for His presence and becoming burning ones for Him. People who will stand in faith and speak life over our nations until we see the shift.

How do we become burning ones? Fix your eyes on Jesus. Allow the one with fire in His eyes to bring you alive in Him. Have a prayer life and pray with others. We need to become upper rooms prepared to Host Him.

And then Get ready as His Spirit blows on your heart and you becoming a burning one for Him. by @lachjones

Happy 36th birthday to day to the most amazing girl I know @tcjones. Having been together for 18yrs I’ve had the privilege to celebrate half of your life’s birthdays. You’re the most incredible person I have ever met. Always consistent in who you are and how you love. Genuine, authentic, real, and anointed by God. I’m so thankful I get to do life with you and raise a family with you. Happy birthday babe, I love you so much! by @lachjones

If you’re a pastor, and like me, have fallen into the ministry trap of doing over pursuing. I pray this little prayer / thread will help you have an honest moment with God. May we return to the main goal, which is Him. by @lachjones
