Last month, The Get Alongs recorded a direct to tape session at Lacquer Channel. The series, under the direction and vision of acclaimed mastering engineer, Noah Mintz captured songs from the band’s just announced (as in today) new album out on Having Fun in June. Come On, the first single is on all streaming services, and the album is available for pre-order now. This session and filming made possibly by the kind people over @collectivebrew by @lacquerchannel

Straight Up is finally out! I had so much fun creating this one with @devrimeldelekli. I have wanted to create a slowed down sad version of this song for a very long time but Devrim turned my initial idea into something far beyond anything I could have dreamed up in my head. This one feels really special. I hope you love our alternative take on the original by Elliott Smith and the legendary @paulaabdul.
This version truly feels like it belongs in a movie so please help us share it far and wide!
