Hello, November! 🧡

A new month, a fresh page, and more reasons to keep doing the work that matters.

Every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow, dream and become whoever she wants to be. Every woman deserves opportunities to thrive. That is the future we continue to work towards at LADEG.

This November, we're looking forward to more meaningful work, more lives touched and more opportunities created.

Here's to a month of making every effort count.

Happy New Month from all of us at LADEG!

Stakeholders/Community Engagement

Our representatives at Oyenyo in Benue state met with some community leaders (men) as part of @ladeg_official #internationdayofthegirl 2026 activities

What the man in the video was saying is

Once a girl completes primary or secondary school, the next step is to get married, many times without her consent.

This is one of the concerns raised by men in Ojenyo community, Benue State, during LADEG’s International Day of the Girl Child advocacy outreach.

This year, our mission is to support girls in Ojenyo to:

✅ Stay in school and pursue their education.
✅ Access sanitary pads and menstrual health education.
✅ Receive counseling and emotional support.
✅ Access basic reproductive health information.
✅ Engage parents and guardians to support their daughters’ education and say NO to early marriage and teenage pregnancy.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, make informed decisions, and build her future.

The rural communities were not left out

In partnership with Ojenyo Women Initiative in Benue State, Nigeria, LADEG reached over 300 girls, distributing notebooks and sanitary pads to support their education and menstrual health.

This year’s International Day of the Girl Child brought painful realities to light, including early pregnancy, child marriage, period poverty, and the lack of female teachers in rural schools.

We also engaged men in community dialogue, encouraging them to support girls’ education, menstrual health, and personal development.

One urgent need identified was access to a female counselor who can visit the school regularly, provide guidance, and create a safe space for girls to discuss their personal challenges.

These girls deserve to be heard, protected, educated, and empowered. Addressing these challenges requires collective action from all of us.

Together, we can make a difference!

@ladeg_official was fully involved and present for this year’s International Day of the Girl Child celebration

In Ikorodu, Lagos State, we partnered with other organizations to bring together over 200 girls for an impactful conference focused on personal development, hygiene, confidence, goal setting, life aspirations and impact of decision making

At LADEG, we believe in the power of partnership. By working together, we can reach more girls, share knowledge, strengthen our advocacy, and create lasting impact.

Together, we empower girls to learn, grow, dream, and thrive. No girl should be left behind

Identify birth confidence

#ladeg #identity #girls #insta by @ladeg_official

In many of our local communities, societal norms have not always encouraged young women and girls to be confident, speak up, or freely express themselves.

Sadly, this has led many girls to suffer in silence, keeping sensitive experiences and challenges, especially those relating to sexual health and abuse, to themselves. Sometimes, the silence comes at a devastating cost.

At LADEG we believe every girl deserves to be heard, understood, and empowered to speak up without fear or shame. 💜

Through our counselling sessions, group discussions, and interactive learning activities, we create safe spaces where young women and girls can build confidence, express themselves freely, ask questions, and make informed decisions about their lives and wellbeing.

A confident girl is an empowered girl, and an empowered girl can change her world!
