Who knew that a Presidential Challenge in the Future Forward Female Mastermind would morph into a beautiful relationship that has held, stretched, and sharpened us over the years?

From that one challenge, God knit together a friendship that became a sisterhood. We’ve held each other accountable. We’ve travelled, played, rejoiced and cried together. We’ve also grown together, season after season, cheering one another on through every becoming.

And now, here we are again, saying yes together.

Life lately. Cake I baked and decorated for my half birthday

A few years ago, I couldn't say that I liked my life. I cared too much about what other people said and thought. I was too afraid to look like I was trying. I would not say the things I really thought because I wanted desperately to be liked. I was depressed and wanted to not be here anymore. But at the same time, I was afraid of dying.

I don't know when and how exactly, but things started to change. And when I met Jesus, it changed even more. I am happy. I am content. I am expectant. I am joyful. I am an unrepentant optimist even when it doesn't work out, almost to the point of delusion. I don't live for the applause or derision of men.

And a near death experience earlier this year helped me see clearly how far I've come. To be comfortable in my own skin and myself. To be who I really am. To love without fear. To live my life in the way that is most true and authentic to me, in step with Christ.

I am living my life.

About 5 years ago, I saw a woman on TV preaching and something in me woke up. Yesterday was her birthday and I've been reflecting on everything she's poured out into me over the past years through @immersecoachingcompany and @kingdomleadersglobal , reading her books, and just watching how she moves.

So to honour my teacher, mother, procoach and mentor, I am sharing 10 things I've learned from @deboladejikurunmi
