THE WELCOME PARTY 🐆🍸🐚 The dress code was Italian Riviera summer nights. Chic whites, linen, silk, gold jewelry, sexy elevated vacation looks. Jason and I wore leopard instead. Shocker. Me in Cavalli & pink Louboutins, Jason in Dolce & Gabbana & Versace. Subtle, as always. We started with cocktails at the villa before whisking 40 of our favorite people away on a boat to Santa Croce, a little beach club vibe in #amalfi - accessible only by sea. Somehow we managed to keep the entire thing a surprise from everyone. Cruising along the coast, drinks in hand, everyone dressed in white, the whole thing felt slightly surreal. Waiting for us was one long, beautiful table dressed entirely in white. White linens, white chairs, white candles, evil-eye plates, little white starfish tucked into the napkins. Somewhere between an impossibly chic Italian dinner party and a bougie mermaid fantasy. Three gorgeous courses, spritzes flowing, speeches, dancing, and a little rain toward the end that only made everything more atmospheric. After dinner, we piled back into the boats and made our way to the port of Amalfi, where we descended upon a little bar and proceeded to absolutely turn the place out. It rained, we danced, we laughed, we smoked, we drank, we raged. No agenda, no timeline, just 40 people we love taking over a bar on the Amalfi Coast until they closed the doors behind us. The wedding stress I’d been carrying completely disappeared. I was surrounded by everyone I love, about to marry my favorite person, and finally able to just be in it. We’d intentionally left the following day completely free. No events, no obligations, no early call times - everyone could get as loose as they pleased. Myself very much included. Our different worlds collided so beautifully. Everyone impossibly chic in their whites, Jason and me in our leopard, all of us somewhere between completely glam and completely lit. It was intimate and extravagant, elegant and wild. Exactly the kind of night we’d hoped for, and somehow even better. And that was just the welcome party. #weddinginitaly #italywedding #amalficoastwedding #35mmfilmphotography by @ladolcebabe
