God’s timing is always perfect.

Two years ago, leadership changed, and I found myself back in the classroom. I had every opportunity to become discouraged or bitter but I made a decision to become better instead.

I chose to lead right where I was planted. I poured into my students, supported my colleagues, and gave my best every single day, even when no promotion was attached to my obedience.

Together, we helped increase our school’s acceleration rate from 62% to 79%, and this year from 79% to 93%. Watching my team grow, believing in them when they couldn’t always see it for themselves, and pushing them to reach their greatest potential has been one of the greatest honors of my career.

Today, I am humbled and grateful to begin a new chapter as Technology Magnet Coordinator at Dillard High School 6–12.

To everyone who prayed for me, encouraged me, and reminded me not to give up on what God had placed in my heart thank you. Your words carried me through seasons when I couldn’t see what God was doing behind the scenes.

This new title isn’t just a promotion; it’s a reminder that faithfulness is never wasted. God sees every sacrifice, every late night, every tear, and every act of obedience.

I look forward to serving my team, our students, our families, and the entire Dillard community with excellence. My mission remains the same: to help others discover their potential and create pathways for future success.

God will always get the glory. 🙌🏾💙

Ms. Tobias exemplifies excellence in Career and Technical Education through her commitment to student achievement and real-world learning.

She has maintained an impressive 98% industry certification passing rate over the past four years and led her students to place 8th in the nation at Junior Achievement Nationals in their very first year.
As last year’s Acceleration Coach, she helped raise the school’s acceleration rate from 56% to 77%.

Her passion, data-driven instruction, and dedication to student success make her truly deserving of this honor.

NEW YEAR. NEW EVERYTHING. SAME GOD!

First, THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to call, text, post, pray for me, send a gift, or simply show me love for my birthday! To my ladies who came out and celebrated with me, THANK YOU! We had ourselves a TIME!

This year tried me. But baby… I’m still HER. 🖤👠🎂

Behind this picture is a woman who has grieved, cried, prayed, and kept showing up even when her heart was tired.

I lost people I loved. Friendships changed. Love didn’t turn out how I hoped. There were days when I gave God my yes and wondered why everything felt like it was falling apart.

I’m still healing. I still have questions. And I’m still grateful God carried me here.

Today, I celebrate the woman I am and the woman I’m becoming. I’ve worked too hard and survived too much to keep postponing my joy.

New year of life. Stronger boundaries. Room for love, laughter, and everything God has for me.

BIRTHDAY EVE

Tomorrow, I celebrate another year of LIFE.

As I wake up on the eve of my birthday, my heart is simply grateful.

This year didn’t look anything like I thought it would. There were losses, disappointments, changes I didn’t ask for, and moments that stretched me in ways I never expected.

But through it ALL… God kept me.

I kept showing up.
I kept praying.
I kept building.
I kept believing.
And even on the days I couldn’t see it, I was still becoming.

Today, I’m not dwelling on what didn’t happen. I’m thanking God for what DID the lessons, the growth, the unexpected blessings, the prayers He answered, and even the things He protected me from.

Tomorrow I turn the page to another year, but today I’m taking a moment to appreciate the woman walking into it.

One more day.

And baby… after everything it took to get here, I’m walking into this next chapter GRATEFUL, EXPECTANT, and READY.

29 DAYS OF GRATITUDE — DAY 28

Today, I’m grateful for SECOND CHANCES.

For the times I got it wrong and God gave me another opportunity.
For the doors I thought were closed forever.
For the dreams I almost gave up on.
For the moments when I had to start over—even when starting over wasn’t part of my plan.

I’m learning that starting over doesn’t mean I failed. Sometimes it means God loved me enough not to let me stay where I was.

There are things I would do differently if I could go back, but I wouldn’t trade the woman those lessons helped me become.

So today, I’m grateful that one bad decision didn’t cancel my destiny. One difficult season didn’t end my story. And one closed door didn’t mean God was finished with me.

As long as God gives me another day, I have another chance.

29 DAYS OF GRATITUDE — DAY 27

Today, I’m grateful for COURAGE.

Not because I’ve always been fearless. Chile… absolutely NOT.

I’m grateful for the courage to do it scared.

To start when I wasn’t sure how it would turn out.
To walk away when staying would’ve been easier.
To try again after disappointment.
To speak up for myself.
To believe God even when what I could see didn’t match what He promised.

I’ve learned that courage doesn’t always look loud or strong. Sometimes courage is quietly saying, “God, I trust You,” and taking the next step anyway.

There were plenty of moments when I questioned myself, but God kept giving me enough courage for one more step.

And look at me now—still smiling, still standing, still becoming.

Day 27: Grateful for the courage to keep becoming the woman God called me to be.
