Ended up spending three days and two nights in the hospital over the weekend, and all I can say is that it’s so good to be home. I can’t even describe how homesick I was and how much I yearned for my family, my own bed, a nice shower, and being able to do all of my skincare. 👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼🐕🏡🫧🧴
(My gallbladder is calling it quits, and my body fell into crisis. It wasn’t severe enough to warrant emergency surgery, but they were able to stabilize me so that I could self-manage at home until I can have outpatient surgery. What is it about me and having to have surgery in the fall? 😏🏥🎃🍁) by @lady_whit

Some of my most recent #thriftfinds —

- a biscuit tin with a young ‘Princess’ Elizabeth
- a heavy crystal vase and a small crystal clock
- English bone china
- another mallard duck decoy
- a beautiful Royal Doulton figurine
- a preserved, framed shamrock (from Ireland)

Not too shabby! 🛍️

I found this beautiful cabinet on Facebook Marketplace a month or so ago for an absolute steal. 🤎 It’s solid wood, heavy, over 100 years old and Amish-made, and it fit in the back of the Mercedes down to the centimeter (truly! 😬😅😮‍💨🥳) I absolutely adore it, and it has quickly become the perfect storage for some of my beloved quilts that I’ve found over the years. 💕

Some of the #thrifted #paintings I’ve been fortunate enough to find over the course of the last year. 💕 I may not end up keeping all of them in the long run, but it’s nice to have a good collection to pull from as I continue refining the house. (I love being able to shop my own stuff, haha. 😂)

Took this photo one evening a couple of weeks ago, and one of our neighbors caught me doing so (in my meemaw clothes, no less — lol). Worth it. 😄

Real good #ThriftDay! ✨ German crystal, English bone china, a framed oil painting of a gorgeous seascape, and a handmade quilt. To top it all off? Everything was 50% off, and I actually realized once I got home that they didn’t even charge me for the most expensive thing (originally $30, so would’ve been $15). 🫪 If this was Karma (or just the lovely cashier) being a Girl’s Girl ™ then I graciously accept! 💕🥰💅🏻

#Thrifted this some months back (still can’t believe I didn’t already have it in my collection!) and only just recently got around to reading it. 📖 I finished it this afternoon and it was such a delight, but my favorite part by far was the original full-color illustrations by #ErnestHShepard. (Pictured) 🎨🖌️ I’ll treasure this copy for years to come. 💛
