🌎 In a world where things seem to look increasingly dark these days, it’s important to be intentional about the little differences we can make in our corner.

🙏🏼 God put it in Isaiah’s heart more than a year ago to create homeless packs. I finally got moving on it a few months ago and now we are reaching out to friends and family to keep it going and hopefully help it grow!

Quick trip to visit our Trinity’s was exactly what the soul needed!

In one of the videos you can see the boys looking ridiculous throwing the football. When we go to the beach, their favorite game is, “I can’t catch or throw a football.” They literally look like the 3 stooges trying to outdo one another. They could care less what people walking by or watching think (I know because every time they do I can see people looking at them like, “aww those poor boys-none of them can catch or throw the ball.”) Isaiah’s such a dork he hurt himself doing too much he somehow hit his head with his own hand (or something like that)-glasses went flying. 😭🤓😂

Also fun fact all my kids can throw a football but guess who probably has the best arm? You guessed it-Trinity.😉🏈

Waco trip was surprisingly fun and relaxing! (I just didn’t know what to expect.) We stayed in a beautiful A-frame house on Lake Whitney with 2 baseball friends/families. I watched my favorite baseball player play the game he loves with his friends. Cherry on top was a fishing trip and grilling by the water. Definitely a weekend off the grid our family needed. Next up-Fall Ball…⚾️🐟🍔💦

What started as a feeling in Isaiah’s heart to have something tangible to give to homeless people we encountered on the streets of San Antonio less than 2 years ago has turned into something only God can do!

Thank you @slatontteague for leading @weare.cbcstudents in allowing @210_blessing_bags be a part of LoveSA with @cbcsocial this year! You helped our middle school and high school youth build 300 Blessing Bags to distribute to people in need today. We were honored to link arms with @takingittothestreetstexas to provide these bags right in the heart of downtown.

Our family met some amazing people there and now plan to join with them to continue to provide Blessing Bags as they provide food and many other essential items to homeless folks every Saturday! Today they also gave clothing and did haircuts. So many volunteers today from other churches and members of our community too.

I was blessed to serve delicious food made with love by a sweet couple from CBC. I am inspired that some of these people serve every week. I personally find it hard to serve a few times a year while these folks take very little time off.

I remind you it’s not about what you have to give or waiting until the “right time”. The time is now and the needs are plentiful. I’m grateful that God uses my son @isaiah.gonzalez210.baseball to remind me of this. Jonah was brave also hitting the streets providing the bags to homeless people. He was nervous but that didn’t stop him.

Today there was a lot of help but someone told me there are some weekends they barely have any volunteers. I needed to hear that and maybe you do too. If this is something that interests you, please follow Taking It To The Streets to find out more info on how to get plugged in.

Praying for this amazing group as they fly out to @slulead Florida this morning for the week! Thank you @weare.cbcstudents @cbcsocial @jesusforjohnson for your leadership and the opportunity. I love how all campuses were represented and I pray they come back with the most amazing experiences. Made the best memories this week. Thank you Roni Arellano Miller & Kenny, Peyton & Aubrey for carving out a whole week to spend with us. The boys had a blast with their cousins and I loved every second with my sister from another mister. Kenny & Steven Gonzalez got to enjoy time together also and Leah was a spoiled little girl! 🐶 Noah brought us some cinnamon rolls & got to hear his favorite song from aunt Roni. 🎶 😉 🦆 I think we fit a little bit of everything in this week we’re all exhausted but it’s a “good exhausted”.
