What happens when you fill a sanitizer dispenser with mayo, and bring it to burningman? Concept by @hivemindnode and deployed by myself. For those worried, it was vegan mayo. Edit: @shaundabrown_ , in the video, found us! . #prank #funny #burningman #joke #festival by @ladycartoonist

Watercolor and pencils, about 22x12. This piece was in a show of mine a while back, and I couldn’t think of a title- an expression of the. Beautiful movement and ecosystems of the pacific coast, kelp, and treasuring natural places. #watercolor #pencil #art #artonig #surrealart #painting #painter by @ladycartoonist

This is one of my top three favorite mushroom recipes I’ve ever made – I borrowed from a few different recipes, and changed some things myself. This is vegetarian but cannot be made without eggs. If I find more CotW this season, I’ll record the rest! I know I didn’t get the entire cooking process, but sometimes you just wanna cook and not worry about tripods.Let me know if you want the recipe. #chickenofthewoods #mushrooms #soup #recipe #foraging by @ladycartoonist

Having fun with this mask- challenging myself to use as many natural materials as possible. It’s reed, cane, and paper with mostly plant based adhesive (methyl cellulose)The only plastic is the elastic for the jaw motion, though in theory I could have made a wooden spring. #art #naturalmaterials #sculpture #costume #artisplay by @ladycartoonist

I harvested some cactus that had cochineal bugs on it, and I’m attempting to farm them. Cochineal are an ancient, native source of carmine red, a very potent red dye that is sustainable and relatively lightfast. #cochineal #naturaldye #art #nativedye #dyecratf by @ladycartoonist

My dad was incredible. He was an artist, sportsman, sailor, carpenter, and a pilot. He did none of those things casually. When he was in college he started the first flying club in London, and (successfully) petitioned for donations to buy a plane for the club (the black and white photo, he’s on top left). He bought a small sailboat knowing basically nothing, named it spur of the moment, and sailed all over Europe. He then moved to America and built a 55’ steel hull sailboat himself, in his backyard in Sonoma. He did at least a half dozen pacific crossings that I know of, and at least as many Atlantic. He renovated his own homes, always making the bathrooms utter luxury (he loved baths). He moved back to England when I was 16, and became an avid polo player - having a number of polo ponies over the years. He climbed killamanjaro, and was a very skilled skier, and we skied all over the world. He always had a studio and a piano, and loved both. He travelled constantly, laughed often, made the best puns, was always painting, and loved good food and cooking. We didn’t have the perfect relationship, but if you ever want to know where the best parts of me come from, look there. I miss him every day since he passed away in 2012. Miss you, dad. #fathersday #memorial #dads #traveller by @ladycartoonist

I had fun making this piece for @gameofshroomsofficial ! Reused a black steel table, an old wool felt hat blank, some paint and time. I just moved studios so glad I could get *something* done! #gameofshrooms2026 #sculpture #mushroomart #diy #art by @ladycartoonist

Just finished the most slap dash last minute @gameofshroomsofficial art price! I only just moved studio, and spent the morning installing insulation before making this. Now I very much need a shower. Go find it! #gameofshrooms2026 #art #treasurehunt #mushroomart taken in Los Angeles, California by @ladycartoonist

A selection of my favorite mushroom and lichen dye projects- from foraging, to leading groups, to textile dyeing- it’s a magical thing to go from a brown mushroom or green lichen to a rainbow of beautiful textiles. #mushrooms #mushroomdye #naturaldye #foraging #historicalcrafts by @ladycartoonist
