From an idea to a vision taking shape…

There is something beautiful about daring to start, nurturing an idea, and watching it gradually become something real.

Building the Initiative for Foundational Education Development (IFED) has been a journey of faith, courage, learning, and growth. It is teaching me that we don’t always need to have everything figured out before we begin. Sometimes, we simply need to take that first step and trust God for the strength and grace to keep going.

My heart is full of gratitude to God for the wisdom, abilities, strength, and opportunities He has given me. I know this is only the beginning, but seeing the vision come together is a beautiful reminder that meaningful things can grow from the smallest beginnings.

For me, IFED is more than an organisation; it is an opportunity to contribute to something bigger than myself, to support children’s learning, and to be part of building a better future.

One step at a time. One foundation at a time. One child at a time.

👑 A Toast to Queen Vera
One of her kind —
The woman who loves without fear of judgment.

The Queen Mother.
The one who has known pain so deeply that the stones thrown at her became the bricks she stood and built on.

The one who has looked fear straight in the eyes and whispered,
“Is that all you’ve got?”

The one who failed.
The one who was stepped on.
The one who was rejected.
The one nobody paused to ask,
“How are you… really?”

The one whose silent cries went unheard.
The one whose pain was invisible.
The one who felt depressed, shattered, mentally exhausted — yet still stood tall.

To all my teachers right from crèche to this very point in my life, I celebrate you deeply today.

You washed my infant head, nurtured my curious mind, poured wisdom into me, taught me with patience, and modelled excellence before me.

Through every stage, from the ABCs to academic heights, your dedication and sacrifices laid the foundation upon which I now stand. Today, as I look back on my journey and the ladders I’ve climbed through education to attain my doctorate, I see your fingerprints all over my story.

Without you, I wouldn’t be here.
Thank you for your love, your labour, and your light. 💖

This day, I honour you all; the builders, the moulders, the torchbearers of knowledge and character.

Today, I celebrate a remarkable teacher, mentor, guide and Mother

Your guidance has been far beyond academic supervision; it has been mentorship in its truest sense. You have taught me not just how to research, but how to think critically, write purposefully, and live intentionally.

You patiently nurtured my academic growth, corrected with grace, encouraged with wisdom, and modelled what true scholarship and humility look like.

Every feedback, every conversation, and every moment of guidance became a seed that shaped my intellectual journey and personal discipline.

As I reflect on my path to attaining my degrees, I see the depth of your impact; in my work ethic, my values, and my vision for the future.
