5 STYLE TIPS THAT CHANGE EVERYTHING

1. STOP DRESSING LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

Just because you see it everywhere doesn’t mean you need to wear it.

Love the colour? The layering? The silhouette?

Take what inspires you and make it your own.

Ask yourself: Do I actually love it, or have I just seen it 50 times?

⸻

2. DON’T WEAR EVERY TREND AT ONCE.

You don’t need five trends in one outfit to look stylish.

Choose ONE trend you love and mix it with pieces that already feel like you.

Remember: You wear the trend. The trend doesn’t wear you.

⸻

3. LET ONE DETAIL DO THE TALKING.

Sometimes all an outfit needs is ONE interesting detail.

A statement earring. A bold belt. An unexpected shoe.

Or mix things up: casual with polished, feminine with masculine, pretty with a little rock ‘n’ roll.

The secret? A little contrast makes an outfit interesting.

⸻

4. REPEAT WHAT FEELS LIKE YOU.

Who says you always need to reinvent your look?

Your favourite colours, silhouettes, shapes and accessories can become your signature.

That’s personal branding through style.

Think about it: What is the one thing people recognise about your style?

⸻

5. LEAVE SOMETHING UNDONE.

Perfectly matched. Perfectly tucked. Perfectly coordinated.

Sometimes that’s just too perfect!

Leave a shirt half-tucked, roll up a sleeve, undo an extra button or let your belt hang loose.

It’s often that little imperfection that gives an outfit personality.

Style doesn’t have to be perfect to be fabulous.

⸻

THE BOILER SUIT. ZERO EFFORT. MAXIMUM FASHION.

One zip. A whole look. Absolutely no outfit crisis.
The boiler suit has officially clocked out of the workshop and checked into high fashion. From Prada’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway to Anne Hathaway’s The Devil Wears Prada 2 wardrobe, the ultimate utility piece is rewriting the rules of getting dressed.
Think sculptural silhouettes, undone collars, statement belts and accessories that mean business. The vibe? A little workwear, a lot of attitude, and absolutely zero basic energy.
Find out the tips Montreal personal fashion stylist and executive image strategist Sandra Smith @ladystylesandra shares about the boiler suit.
We’re breaking down how to wear it, style it and make it look ridiculously expensive.

POV: You’ve just found a $3,000 silk blouse…

Please don’t attack the rack. 😂

Pulling expensive garments out from between other pieces can stretch them, snag delicate fabrics and completely destroy the merchandising.

And yes… someone spent time making that rack look beautiful.

THE WRONG WAY:
Rip it out.
Twist the hanger.
Inspect it.
Walk away.
Leave it hanging sideways like it survived a small hurricane.

THE RIGHT WAY:
Move the neighbouring pieces aside.
Gently lift the hanger out.
Look at the garment.
And if it’s not for you…

PUT. IT. BACK. 👑

Luxury clothes deserve luxury behaviour.

There’s something about fitting rooms that brings out the fun. 😂

My client is changing, and technically I’m supposed to be patiently waiting for the big reveal…

Meanwhile, I’m in the fitting room next door doing my own fit check.

Because this is what happens when you genuinely enjoy the people you work with. There’s styling, there’s shopping, there’s advice …but there’s also laughing, dancing, trying things on and enjoying the moment.

Somewhere along the way, the appointment stops feeling like an appointment.

And apparently, the stylist needs a fit check too. 😂
Don’t be surprised if next time I asked us to do a fit check together! Would you join in?? by @ladystylesandra

WHAT WE CONVINCE OURSELVES OF.

She looked at herself and saw fat.
She saw ugly.
She saw everything she believed was wrong.

I saw a beautiful woman who had spent far too long believing a story that wasn’t serving her.

So I told her:

Nothing is wrong.
Click. 1.

Nothing is wrong.
Click. 2.

Again. And again. And again.

Seven times.

Because sometimes the hardest thing to change isn’t our body or our wardrobe.

It’s the way we’ve learned to see ourselves.

Style doesn’t begin with fixing what’s “wrong.”
It begins when we realize there was never anything wrong to begin with.

The Fall Refresh is more than a styling evening—it’s a chance to give back.

Join us October 14 at PRFKT for an evening with StyleSandra, who’ll share her seasonal styling tips and tricks, then be on hand to answer your questions and help you find fresh ways to wear your wardrobe.

We’ll also welcome a SENTALER representative visiting from Toronto, with small bites and bubbles to enjoy throughout the evening.

Bring a gently loved clothing piece to donate to Dress for Success Montréal, an organization that supports women through career and life transitions with professional clothing, personalized styling, mentorship and learning opportunities. Give a piece a second life—and help someone step into what’s next with confidence.

We can’t wait to see you there!

..

There’s something powerful about women coming together. ✨

A beautiful evening at Club Saint-Denis, surrounded by women in business, connection and conversation.

One story really stayed with me , a daughter acquiring the company her mother built. A true example of succession, trust, leadership and legacy.

It’s such a reminder of how important female energy is in our lives and women who support us, challenge us, inspire us and open doors for one another.

When women come together, powerful things happen. ❤️

Sometimes the piece you love isn’t the piece that works best for you.

This is why understanding your measurements matters so much.

A few things I look at when deciding if a garment is going to work:

✨ Where does the volume sit?
✨ Does the silhouette create balance with your proportions?
✨ Is the garment adding visual weight where you want it?
✨ Does the shape of the piece work with your natural lines?

It can be a beautiful top, dress, or jacket and still not give you the result you were hoping for.

And that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with your body. It means the garment isn’t working with your shape.

Once you understand this, you can shop with so much more confidence because you know what to look for.

This is something we’ll go much deeper into at my next Style Workshop on September 26, where we’ll work on understanding your silhouette and how to choose pieces that actually work for you.

I’d love to have you there. 🤍
