Through it all, Fujimi and I continue to keep on pushing against all the odds. The capabilities of this little Honda Fit are beyond amazing, and it's honestly the only reason I'm still here. Here's to another 1k miles under the belt all within a week. The story keeps going to my amazement, and I'm not talking about just the Hondas... I know I'm not the first person to say this nor will I ever be the last but I am a strong believer that older cars are in fact living entities... The that my beloved Fujimi acts is almost human like with its quirky traits and almost personality like happenings. New cars do not have sole like this one does.. no car that is getting produced today besides maybe, very very heavy emphasis on the maybe, is the 4th gen Honda Fit / jazz... But even then it's not capture the true essence of being a car person and just enjoying driving like this one has... Only car that I ever have just willingly took a damn spray paint can too so liberally, and have the utter most fun each time I do so. The fact the car not only now performs at a level that I never thought would be possible with the condition I got it in, the scenario it was getting thrown into, and it does it with a fun factor that is very hard to match in any other platform, I decided maybe it's time I get Fujimi looking somehow decent. I definitely won't say it's my prettiest car Ive owned and certainly not the fastest, but I can say it's probably the one with the most character. Holy shit, I got me a damn race car (Highest degree of Pedigree ((The master class of automobiles g)). I don't know how, but I managed to make this FREE scrap yard ready 2007 GD3 Honda fih SPORT, into the hormonal amalgamation of parts that it has become, that looks kinda fucking cool and drive like a bat out of hell for a 1.5l that also doubles as a work truck... This little bastard child of a ep3 Civic has a heart of gold and is more headstrong than most new cars... Almost 10k miles with my beloved Fujmi.... The amount of time and dedication that has gone into not only saving this thing and making it better is insane... it's definitely the most amount of diy work I've ever done on a car that doesn't have straight up name brand parts and a shop environment to build it in... The fact that it is now able to handle the weight of the around 500lbs of tools over the rear and the occupant's while driving like a damn rally car all around is crazy... 219k miles and makes more power than stock, finally has a "full exhaust system" that doesn't sound absolutely like shit, lighting of the sun on factory switches, touchscreen head unit with 32db equalizer settings and all the speakers to match, the AC works beautifully, cooling system is at full efficiency, and she lives the highway even with 4 drive gears and no reverse (reverse is a lie made by big transmission frfr) Sure she isn't the prettiest looking Honda on the road, but for a free GD3 that was ready for the scrapper, I'd say she's a beauty. This cars life was saved in the same way she has been a saving grace for me, very soft spot for this quirky ass mf estrogen fueled machine... As of today August 11th, 2026 I've had this 2007 Honda Fit Sport GD3 with a manual for 111 days... It's so crazy that most of this car has been done mechanically and electrically and is reliable now, while doing the job of a work horse that I can rag on... 1.5l paired to a technically 4mt that's tuned and modded by me, custome suspension shit to make it handle the weight and turns, lighting to fucking send you to the heavens, sound system to keep the toons banging all night, actually has a functional roof rack, HONDA CIVIC EM1 WHEELS FROM 2000, etc etc etc... decided it was time to make this engine even more bulletproof... lots of maintenance including valve lash, injector rebuilds, cleaning the air intake manifold, and then a couple of goodies I wanted to do with some paint because we spray and shit! The fact that this is an original engine L15A1 with 217.5k... how did I manage to get it to run this well and efficiently....? crazy Car has been cleaned to all living hell inside and out, decided to tighten literally everything I could get a socket on, she is back and even more capable... Well it's safe to say Honda lied about the tow capacity... to be fair they never said what speed it was going when rated at 0 POUNDS of towing capacity... my here's mine with no boost, towing a disabled 2011 Chevy Traverse LTZ AWD with the tow package.... which has a curb weight of about 5000 POUNDS WHAT THE HELLY!!!! definitely happy to say the polyurethane inserts, well placed bump stops, making sure all the suspension is in good condition play a big part in this... Still amazed the GD3 did this with out a sweat... it's amazing what you can do when you treat a car correctly and show it some mods...
