This is what I mean when I say Catch Waves & Good Vibes 🤙🏾 I love hanging out with students after surf class and I feel eternally grateful to have made some good friends through it as well! I’ll share my moms homemade roti’s for breakfast or rice & curry for lunch, since Sri Lankan amma’s always cook enough to feed a village 🫡 Or sometimes I’ll bring games to the beach like Carrom - a local game we play a lot with friends. Are up for the challenge to try and beat me at the next round? 😮‍💨

I had a very special student on my surfboard today: my own 9-year-old niece! 💖 Our island has great surfers, and I hope that one day we’ll have more Sri Lankan women representing us out in the water as well. As a proud uncle, I would love for my niece to be one of them 🏄🏾‍♀️🌺🇱🇰 Let me know in the comments how you think she did!

Surfing for many years and I’ve been teaching for at least 7 years now 🤙🏾 nothing makes me happier than sharing this passion and coaching others into catching their own waves 🌊

I love both short and longboarding 🏄🏽 They’re very different, but honestly I’m just happy as long as I’m out in the water!

Come pet my American Bully Cappuccino when you’re around my school 🤎🤍 he’s 7 months old now, full of energy and loves hanging out with my students!

Nothing beats my mom’s cooking and her prawns curry is my absolute favorite 🦐 But I love trying new foods and I’m happy that Hiri’s got so many different restaurants! A few of my favorites are Pranaya, Raa, Smoke & Bitters, Bacuzzi and Malkoha.

Want to try my mom’s and sister’s cooking for yourself? We have a family restaurant @in_paradise_hiriketiya! You’re more than welcome to come by for food and drinks after surf 🥰

When I’m not in the water surfing or teaching, I love hanging out with friends. We do our own karaoke parties at home, go dancing for the Buddhist festival Kavadi or go to Dots sometimes 🪩
