4 years of showing up as the best version of myself, which was easy to do with the best track family by my side. From practices to team breakfasts, hikes, and volleyball tournaments, these moments became some of the best parts of my college experience.I’ve been running track since I was 7 years old, and these past 4 years were the perfect way to close this chapter. Collegiate track is where the Lord revealed my strength comes from the Lord, how to trust His timing, and how to find peace in Him even in moments of anxiousness. It pushed me beyond my limits, strengthened my confidence, and showed me what discipline, consistency, and faith can produce. I trusted the process, reached goals I once prayed for, and saw the results of hard work unfold in real time: ✨: 3x SWAC 400-Meter Champion ✨: 2x 4 by 400-Meter Relay Champion ✨: 2x Women’s Track and Field MVP ✨: 2x Women’s Track and Field Bulldog Award ✨: Kenneth Gunn Scholar-Athlete Award ✨: Alabama A&M Outstanding Scholar Athlete Shakiera, my sister, my angel: A&M T&F gave me the biggest blessing by bringing you into my life freshman year. You truly are the glue that held us all together, and you still do. College was sweeter because of you. Track was sweeter because of you. I carry you in everything I do as I continue to run through life with you by my side. I LOVE you Kiera Pooh, truly 1 of 1. 💚Talil, my 400 training buddy, my brother: Your laugh is permanently ingrained in my brain because you’ve truly lightened up my life these past 4 years, on and off the track.
