Happy opening weekend to the cast and crew of She Kills Monsters at @secrettheatreny with @citygateproductions 🐉👹😈

A right of passage in the fight community, my first production of SKM has been an absolute blast to choreograph. Special thanks to @_actionjax_ (@arteviolenta ) for the armory, to Assistant Fight Director @lukepearlberg , and to Fight Captain @megan.e.gwyn - thanks for being in my adventuring party!

🏴‍☠️ Lady Mary Killigrew makes her final voyage this Sunday 🏴‍☠️

It is difficult to put to words what the @newyorkrenaissancefaire has meant to me over the last 6 summers. It was my first performance gig out of college/the pandemic, it’s where I met my two wonderful partners, and it’s where I have been able to challenge myself in many ways to grow as a director and a leader. It’s where I have fostered so many meaningful friendships and artistic partnerships, and created work that I am truly proud of.

So, while it may be time to set sail for now, I will always carry the Shire and its people in my heart - and, of course, I will be back to visit 💜

My IMMENSE gratitude to all of you, but especially:
🏵️ To Clayton, Ian, and Buffey, for trusting me with so much from the very beginning
🏵️ To Lèna and Adam for being the best directors an AD could ask for
🏵️ To Rainey, Anna, Lèna, Kate, Kate, Kira, Al, and Jen. It has been an honor to share the iron man suit with you
🏵️ To the fight team - Sarah Grace, Pat, Leighton, and Nik - for joining me in continued commitment to making fight corps a better place to be each year
🏵️ To all of my Queen’s Blades and all of my Shakespeareans in the Shire
🏵️ To Josh and Greg, for standing with me through all of the ups and downs
🏵️ To the RAPA class of 2021
🏵️ To the many photographers, for your gorgeous work
🏵️ And to the patrons of the Shire - we do this for you. Thank you for giving us a place to share our joy.

SWIPE for silliness and a DOG! 🐶

It’s been… one week since we wrapped the 2026 CISCO Teacher Trainer, and oh boy is my heart full to the brim with gratitude and joy. New knowledge and teaching strategies, new insight into my personal and professional values, and a community that continues to grow and flourish the longer I do this work ⚔️

To the CISCOTT cohort (@taylorrosealex @cody.a.swanson @ambria.campbell @dxsaldivar @swords_and_stupidity @megkoniee and Grant/Garrett who doesn’t have an instagram) - Thank you all for being so supportive, kind, brave, and vulnerable through this whirlwind. Y’all are kickass teachers, and I can’t wait to see where we go next 📝

To our fearless leaders and shepherds (@root.amie @tizagarland @whiskerfusticus @itsjenpan and @melissafrel ) - thank you for feeding our brains, our hearts, and our tummies for two wonderful weeks! 🧐

And, of course, to my love - thank you for coming on this adventure with me. It’s always an honor to do this work beside you and see how we grow 💕

UP NEXT - fight rehearsals for the 2026 season of the @newyorkrenaissancefaire and teaching my first solo class session with @arteviolenta 🎉🎉🎉

Mentoring Advanced Combatants 2026 - immensely grateful for this cohort and this community. Thank you all for sharing your skills, your opinions, and your hearts. To be advanced is to be comfortable in the vulnerability of re-examining yourself and your artistry even as you go back to the basics, and this workshop really challenged us to do just that.

Thank you to all of our mentors for shepherding us through this intense week of development and reflection, but thank you especially to @root.amie for being the best coach for me and @kevmcstev (TEAM ROOT!!!) ⚔️

Taking this week to get some much needed week before heading off to @ciscostagecombat on Sunday!
