YOUTH CAMP 2026!!!!!
I’m so incredibly grateful for this week. No words could ever describe how much this has impacted me. Seeing God move in all of my favorite people’s lives was so beautiful. A few weeks ago at youth we talked about the difference between happiness and true joy, and I can say that I now get the wonderful privilege of knowing the difference. The amount of peace and true joy I feel is indescribable. I am so inspired and proud of my friends for their courage and vulnerability this week. God has revealed and convicted me of so much and I am in absolute awe of what He is doing in all of our lives. We are called to be set apart from the world and that is evident in how all of these people live their life. The desires of my heart have been set back to the desires of the Lord and I praise the Lord for how much He poured into me and my friends this week. I am so incredibly blessed to be apart of this. I will never be able to thank the Lord enough for all of the incredible people He has put in my life. Every single person I got the privilege to be around this week has impacted me and changed me for the better. Something we talked about this week was head knowledge versus heart knowledge of the Lord and how to remove the things that are blocking us from truly loving God. God has removed the things that get in the way of me fully giving him my all and I could not be happier. Psalms 133:1 says “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” When I read this verse today I immediately thought of gvc. I have an immense amount of support and love around me that God had blessed me with. Romans 12:15 says “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.” I have found people who will walk with me every step of the way no matter what. Words will absolutely never be able to express how grateful I am God put all of these people in my life and how grateful I am for how He is moving in my life and my friend’s lives. Thank you gvc for EVERYTHING!!!! #yellowbananasontop by @lainey.paxton

7/27/25🤍- I grew up in a Christian household and going to church. I was baptized in February of 2022 when I was 11, but I only did it because I thought it would get me into heaven. I didn’t live differently and I continued to live in my sinful ways. In the fall of 2022 I fell into a very deep depression. One day I felt so hopeless, so I planned on ending my life later that week. It was a terrifying feeling, but in a way, it felt freeing because I thought I could finally escape my problems. The day I had planned on ending my life I didn’t, which was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. I continued to have suicidal thoughts for the next 2 years. I constantly cried out to God asking Him why He’d leave me. In sixth grade I started going to students but I was inconsistent and mostly went because my mom made me. In seventh grade I started going back to students by my own choice and God blessed me with such an amazing group of girls that truly show me what Christ centered friendships look like. I was going consistently but eventually only went on occasion. At camp this past year I got to spend time with God and my friends. On the first night, Ethan said we should worship to glorify God, not to seek to feel a certain way. That same night Noah talked about how easily Christians are satisfied with worldly things that never satisfy us like the Lord does. That night I realized how selfish I had been in my relationship with the Lord. The next morning during the sermon, I felt God calling me to accept Him. Throughout the day I prayed for full clarity on what God was calling me to do and that night’s sermon was about accepting Jesus. I then knew that God was making it clear that He wanted me to fully surrender my life to Him. That night I gave my life fully to Christ. When I got home from camp I vowed to live everyday of my life differently and live for the Lord. Since then, I’ve stayed in the Word and have grown closer to Christ daily. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and I truly do not believe I would be here today if it wasn’t for the Lord.
