I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Itawamba Community College Softball.

First and foremost, I thank God for the talents and courage I have been blessed with. I thank Him for the opportunities I have experienced and the lifelong family I was given along the way.

To my parents: thank you for raising and building me into the person I am today. Thank you for always supporting me through this journey and never letting me give up on my dream. Thank you for the long road trips, the 6am Chick-Fil-A stops, and Cozumel meals the night before a game. I would never be where I am right now without you.

To my siblings: Durbin, thank you for always being my biggest supporter in the stands. Your time in the cages with me and dedication to building me into the player I am today does not go unnoticed, and I truly thank you for that. Maddi, thank you for always being the first to congratulate me for all of my successes. You are my biggest role model; the person who helped me become courageous and resilient. I could never express the gratitude I have to both of you.

To all of my coaches: you all have truly been a pillar of strength and inspiration in my athletic journey. Thank you for not only teaching me the skills of the game, but also instilling in me the values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. Your mentorship has shaped me into a better athlete and a better person.

To Coach Owens and Coach Monson: thank you for believing in me and blessing me with the opportunity to become an Indian. I am truly grateful to now be a part of the Tribe.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey, and I am excited for the next 2!!

i never thought this moment would come so fast but here we are.

today i played my last ever high school softball game and i am filled with emotions i can hardly put into words. this game, this team, this journey - it’s been so much more than just a sport to me. i’m overwhelmed with gratitude for my teammates. you all have been my family on and off the field. we’ve shared laughter, tears, victories, and tough losses together, and those moments have shaped who I am. each of you brought your own strength, passion, and heart to this team, and i’m so proud to have played alongside you. thank you for pushing me to be better, for standing by me through every challenge, and for making this journey unforgettable. i’m so excited to continue playing the sport i love in college, and i’ll carry everything i’ve learned from all of you with me. thank you pelham softball. #8 out. by @laini.stewart8
