From all-nighters and long days of designing to endless critiques — it’s been a ride. 🤍

Watch a recap of the last day of my undergrad as a graphic design student at @ocaduniversity! 🎓

The day started with project prep at the print shop, photographing our final packaging design group project and one last critique. After class, we all end off celebrating with bubble tea and boneless fried chicken from @chatimecanada @nenechickenontario 🧋🍗

I can’t not express how grateful I am for my experience at #GradEx110 this past week, a chapter in my undergrad I’ll never forget.

After many long, tireless days and nights spent working on my project and in back-to-back sessions at the print shop, one of my goals was to see everything come together concisely.

What made this experience more meaningful was diving deeper into the Vietnamese side of my culture and identity. Through researching the history, typography and alphabet helped me reconnect with my roots. 🇻🇳

The opportunity to share and present my work to hundreds of people was truly an honour. Hearing thoughtful compliments and seeing people engage with my project warmed my heart.

It feels like a full-circle moment to think it all started in Grade 11, when I first started learning how to use Photoshop.

This marks the end of an era of my time in school. Thank you to everyone who showed love, stopped by and supported my work! 🥹💌

⌨️ Graphic Design ILLU: Expressive Typography

As a lover of all things typography, I had so much fun creating these designs! 🩵

🚊 Have you experienced commuting early in the morning? The feeling of being squished among a crowd… The word ‘squish’ is typeset intentionally tight to evoke that sense of congestion.

🧲 A magnet clamps or sticks things together. In this composition, the letter N serves as the magnet, while the other letters hang onto it, creating a sense of flow and balance in their placement.
