Someone recently took our video of Lake singing on the @welcometojamrockreggaecruise and posted it on TT, with the caption “When your nanny’s from Jamaica“ and it went viral with millions of views. That IS extremely funny, but Lake does NOT have a Jamaican nanny, he just has a deep love in his blood for reggae music!

He was stoked to perform on the #JamrockCruise last year, and is hoping to come back and play again this year!

Here is his video made for the great @tarrusrileyja where Lake is showcasing his ability to rock the second verse.

Gwan Lake!!!

Even at FIVE years old, Lake had absolutely NO stage fright! 😳🎤🔥

Throwback to @reggaeontheway in Tacoma, Washington, where this little Michael Jackson fan took the stage in front of an estimated 12,000 people and performed “The Way You Make Me Feel” like he owned the place! 🕺❤️

Four years later, he’s still got that same fearless love for performing. 🥹

Some things never change! ❤️

SO CLOSE to landing a lead role in a major Hollywood movie! 🤯🎬

Lake made it all the way down to the FINAL TWO kids being considered for a starring role alongside one of the biggest movie stars in the world! 🌎🎥

He was even flown to New York for the final screen test!

Although he didn’t book the role, we couldn’t be more proud of how far he made it, and especially how he handled the outcome. ❤️

Here’s the actual audition that started it all, performing a scene from the classic movie E.T. 👽🎬

Special shoutout to Lake’s incredible acting coach @bretloehrstudios, who you can actually hear reading opposite Lake in this audition! 🙌

And a huge thank you to his amazing management team at @protegeent_la and his agents at @coasttocoasttalent for helping guide us through this incredible experience.

Sometimes the journey is just as rewarding as the destination. ❤️

Please remember, we only share some of the comments with Lake. Most of the cruel stuff will never reach those sweet ears. ❤️

But he did want the haters to know one thing…

He’s turned down bigger deals than you ever made. 😂😂😂

Lake has been studying the GOAT, Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett @jmoffettmjm 🥁❤️

He’s been working on this with his amazing drum teacher @jakenolenmusic at @nosiderecordings, who has been helping him learn this piece and is always so supportive of everything Lake wants to try. 🙏🥁

He still has a long way to go, but he’s going to keep practicing until he gets it PERFECT. 😂

How’s he doing, Sugarfoot?

I went to Burning Man hoping I might run into Major Lazer… and somehow ended up on stage with them at Robot Heart. 😂🔥

I’ve looked up to @diplo and @majorlazer for a long time, so getting to meet everyone, talk music, and actually perform together was pretty unreal.

Huge thank you to @diplo @walshyfire @apedrums and @majorlazer for making this such an unforgettable night. ❤️ taken in Black Rock City by @lakeanthonymusic

Backstage at one of his shows, Lake met another musician with perfect pitch… and obviously they had to test each other. 😳🎵

What started with single notes quickly turned into chords, and things got a little ridiculous. 😂

Still thinking about this moment at Reggae on the River 🔥

Lake wanted to try something a little different… the iconic “Beat It” choreography over “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough.” Somehow it WORKS. 😂🔥

Huge love to the incredible dancers who brought it to life:
🕺 Autumn — @asmartkeister
🕺 Sequoia — @sonomalivin
🕺 Lily — @maribelperez9574
✨ Choreography — Christina @glo_withchristina
🎥 Video — @birdyfinch

More from Lake’s late-night main stage set coming soon. 👀🔥 by @lakeanthonymusic
