Lakes Makerie, Minneapolis. Cabin Season 2026 is in the books! We closed up the Lake Place this last weekend so now it’s officially Fall! Needless to say, our dip in Lake Vermilion (7oC, 44oF) was quite brief. Time for wool, corduroy and flannel! by @lakesmakerie

Lakes Makerie, Minneapolis. Here's Evan wearing the Merchant & Mills Harlene overalls that Kenzie made with him in his recent class. She made these I one of our rigid deadstock denims and chose to widen the leg and add front knee patches. Kenzie (and all the students) did a great job with this make (zoom in to see her topstitching!), but next time, she'll size down a bit. by @lakesmakerie

Lakes Makerie, Minneapolis. Happy Friday! Here are just a few of the lovely fabrics from our latest shipment from Japan. There's little of everything lawn, canvas, double gauze. Also, cats, clotheslines, submarines, strawberries and, of course, flowers. What will you make? by @lakesmakerie

Lakes Makerie, Minneapolis. Merchant & Mills "The Joa" PDF pattern is here. This cute wrap top made from plain or quilted fabric and can be worn by itself or over another top to keep you warm in winter. Perfect for bridging the seasons. Reeber we can print it for you on AO copy shop paper and have it ready to ship or pick up in the shop so you can make yours right away. by @lakesmakerie

Lakes Makerie, Minneapolis. Fall is just around the corner, and new Cotton/Linens from Merchant & Mills are winging their way across the Atlantic just in time. As usual, the colors are just what we want to wear now. We expect these fabrics to arrive next week (though "Workwear", center top row and "Uniform Blues", center bottom row are already here). As always, quantities of these are limited. We have them available for pre-order on the website now so you can stake your claim. by @lakesmakerie

Lakes Makerie, Minneapolis. New Indian block prints from Merchant & Mills. There will be plenty of sunny days ahead to wear them and with the right styling, they can overwinter with you too. (Also lovely for pillows, curtains or even napkins) In the shop in Minneapolis and also on our website. I'll add a link in bio. Sarah by @lakesmakerie

Lakes Makerie, Minneapolis. Powerful animals indeed. This is our third restock of this particular colorway of this particular fabric...We don't suspect it will last long this time either. by @lakesmakerie

Lakes Makerie, Minneapolis. Here's Kenzie wearing her Clementine Blouse (pattern by The Ordinary Folk) in one of our lovely Liberty Lawns.
