Wow, I am in awe of this masterpiece. It starts off strong with "delicious" that literally gave me chills in every way.. the Erie feeling in not knowing someone's intentions, the horror it could bring...

Rhonda is impeccable in every detail when she writes. You literally feel every breath, darkness and chilling aura. Every piece feels like a movie 🎬 it truly gives you that high of intense ecstasy of horror bliss. What i truly love about it is it has a beautiful array as well. It goes through all the many emotions as if you in a tornado 🌪 feeling all the feels and when the eye appears the quietness covers, thats what I felt in "Dry" so beautiful.

I may be a little biased as Rhonda is like my poetry sister. We are yin and yang ☯️ she brings the fire 🔥 I bring the butterflies 🦋

I surrender my dreams
Not in giving up,
But in release.
To let the new ones breathe,
To exhale in a colorful array
Into the abundant sky,
Allowing the Most High
To complete the piece in me.
The colors I couldn't imagine on my own,
The hues of His greatness.
I bow.
I surrender.
I let my wings free.
Because maybe I've been holding on too strongly.
So, wind of truth, peace, and love,
Blow through me.
Every inch of my body
Dances to Your beat,
Softly back to balance,
Knowing that I am enough
As the woman
In this present surrender.

Hope has always been in your DNA

Have you ever stubbed your toe and looked up?
Put on your shoes for a long, full day ahead, put your hands on your knees, looked up, and proceeded to rise and press on toward victory?

Have you ever gotten so frustrated that you looked up with a fist to the sky, upset about how things have conspired against you… and yet, you still looked up?

Worked a 12 hour shift, looked at the clock and see 8:01 AM, looked up defeated.. thinking.. “How has it only been one minute?” 😂

We always look up.

I believe in the joy, the determination, and yes, even the frustration too. That looking up is a whisper and a symbol of hope.

Because deep down, we know the truth and the freedom that regardless of what happens, we can somehow look up to the Most High and know that everything, good or bad, can be divinely orchestrated for our good in the abundant flow of life.

What has caught you looking up lately?

For me… joy, long hours, God’s goodness, and a push of strength.

Floating
Mortality waving goodbye to ego
Did I just survive an inner apocalypse?
Chills lifting through my spine
Floating in the air
Soaking in sunlight beneath the clouds
Please, don’t sound the alarm
But wait… this isn’t a dream
Aligning in pursuit
How astute…

Have you ever driven through the mountains in the fog?

It’s all hands on the wheel, barely seeing your way through. But one thing is for sure, we ain’t stopping lol. We just keep climbing, following the high terrain, praying we make it to the other side.

But when the fog clears… what a beautiful view.
Somehow, the anxiety settles, and your heart starts floating as you take in the breathtaking views.

What’s your view that keeps you floating high?
Is it the ocean, the mountains, your child’s smile, or a rainbow after a rainy day?

What are you savoring today? The comfort, or the curious knowing that you have been great all along? ✨️🌞🙌🏾

In the Bible, there are many times where God has “opened their eyes,” making one aware of their potential, the Holy Spirit, their strength, and turning darkness into light.

It doesn’t come easy. Sometimes it takes a bitterness, a fall into the abyss, a grief that stabs your soul, and yet, once we surrender and “savor the lemon juice,” the bitter, the fall, the exhausted view, somehow we climb again.
Our eyes are opened.

We are the ones in the director’s seat, saying, “CUT.” 🎬
We remember who we are and whose we are!
We take back our truth and our light. We rise in our power once more and soar like the eagles above.

So tell me… are your eyes opened to your greatness? 🫶🏾💛✨️

Because you are pretty fantastic, if I do say so myself.💛✨️🌞

The Anesthesia Lunar Eclipse

Finally awakened from my sleep,
and yet, somehow,
my ego has been laid to rest.

The pain had blinded me.
I was unaware of its shade,
unaware of all the ways
I carried what I could not release.

Projecting retrograde,
slowing down,
my heart has finally made peace with the rage.

Now I am listening.
I am breathing.
I am in tune with the gentle flow of the Divine.

My heart feels the world’s pull.
The trembling of earthquakes,
the rising waters of floods,
the spinning winds of tornadoes,
the burning breath of heat waves.

Mother Nature still fights for her peace,
and somehow,
the sun continues to shine
through you
and through me.

Oh, how I love this new me.

A peaceful mind.
A softer heart.
No longer chasing
the race of tomorrow.

Just here.
Just breathing.
Just loving
unconditionally,
freely,
as God has worked within me.

Perhaps this is what awakening feels like:

Not becoming someone new,
but finally returning
to the woman
I was always meant to be.

All from the aftermath
of anesthesia
and a lunar eclipse.

Love out of reach...
It’s all about the chase.
The wonder.
The... Don’t show too much heart, or they’ll lose interest.
Gone in seconds, without a goodbye.
But I have the secret stash. ❤️🥰
A locket of love in my chest.
The memory of you.
Death will never mend the locket door.
It opens wide, like water rushing into my heart, forevermore.
The memories of happier times.
Not having to wait for a call or a text...
Always reaching out at the exact same time,
with words of comfort, encouragement, and love.
Oh, how it was all so easy...
To love.
To embrace.
We always ended with,
“Believe it, Receive it, Achieve it... te quiero mucho.”
Your legacy still lives on in my pocket of sunshine.
But I only keep it for special times...
And today, oh boyyy, was a day when I needed to be reminded.
Love you forever, my angel in heaven. ❤️
