Ten years ago, I became Avery’s mom—and I keep saying, I can’t believe I’ve kept her alive for a whole decade 🥹😮‍💨
The other day, a dear friend told me I’m an exceptional mom. I receive that deeply, because being Avery’s mom is both sacred and sweet.

Loving Avery is easy. She is kind, considerate, evolving, generous, rooted in community, and so incredibly loving. I am endlessly proud of who she is becoming. I’m grateful for our closeness and for the way she holds me accountable to always do right by her.

I’m often told I’m intentional in my parenting—and that’s true. I do my best to give her what I did and didn’t receive growing up. Sharing a decade of love, care, joy, and growth has made this life journey richer than I ever imagined.

Today and always, I speak life over you. May my prayers for you flourish beyond what we could hope or imagine.

My heart rejoices for 10 years—and I look forward to spending decades more together. Happy Birthday to my bestie boo, my homegirl, my why, and the love of my life. 💖🎉✨ by @lalady1913

The days are long and the years are short. I’m feeling the impact of that statement. Today is the start of 3rd grade. Where has the time gone?! This year she woke up at 4am, and this Mom needs a nap!

Avery’s cheer gym is hosting a DoubleGood popcorn fundraiser to offset costs for cheer expenses, including competition fees, practice uniforms, music, and choreography.

This is Avery’s 5th cheer season and her second as an Elite athlete. Cheer is her jam! The dedication, love, and passion she has for cheer are palpable and awe-inspiring. I’ve supported her cheer dreams, and with your help, we can continue to make Avery’s dreams with LA Dreams come true!

The fundraiser will run from July 1st to July 5th. We welcome your support and donations towards this fundraising campaign. The link to Avery’s pop-up store is in my bio.

We ended 2nd grade with a bang! Despite some bumps along the way, this school year was marked by significant growth as Avery embraced a growth mindset. She learned new math skills, presented meditation practices to the entire school, and deepened her understanding of the value of friendship. I am thrilled with her growth and development, and I look forward to her journey in 3rd grade! by @lalady1913

Weekend recap: We took on Dallas for NCA, and it was an experience! We didn't win a medal, but we enjoyed the opportunity. We reconnected with our family and my best friends! We made new friends, met Coach Avery, and confirmed that with continued hard work, we become better!
