Children should get to fall asleep to a mamma’s lullaby. Not to sirens, terror and fear. Every child deserves safety and every mamma & pappa deserves the chance to give it ♥️I’ll be honest. At first, I was terrified to record this performance. The last time I played a legit show was the night I found out I was pregnant with my daughter (turning 2 soon)! Figuring out a 30min set in a couple days seemed impossible… but when you become a parent, protecting and providing for your children rewires you ✨So what if my voice cracks, I missed that note or I’m scared to put myself out there…? If this performance helps raise awareness + helps children in need, I’m there for it 💯IMO - It really shouldn’t be this controversial and you don’t need to be a parent to look around and understand that: children. deserve. better.This performance was filmed in partnership with HOT VOX & War Child UK. Welcome to my creative studio (aka sanctuary) here in London! ✶ It’s taken a bit more than a year due to multiple moves and a busy + full life with my little ones and pets, but with the help of some very dear friends (muses, enigmas…) this space is truly vibing now.As a very sentimental person that has moved around Europe and the US for most of my life, it has always been hard to leave people, spaces and places behind. Despite all the moves, I held on to little things filled with big memories. Letters, notes, photos, guitar strings, artwork and meaningful tokens + gifts. Maybe that’s why whenever and wherever I’ve set up my music-making-creation-stations, there’s a sense of familiarity. I’m surrounded by reminders and relics of my journey (and some of those before me and their journeys!) here earth-side and the people who have been an important part of it. In this space, where past, present and future meet, I feel inspired to write, sing and share my stories and experiences with you. My journey hasn’t always been easy, but it also hasn’t always been hard. There’s so much in between and I’m obsessed with it all. LIFE : The Experience ✶Hi! My name is La and I’m a memory collector.
