The KataKata Freedom Festival returns to Brixton on 15 August for an unforgettable day of live music, workshops, art, talks and good vibes. 🎶🎨🌿

From acoustic performances and creative activities to DJs, ethical fashion stalls and a dedicated sensory space, the festival is designed to be welcoming for people of all ages and abilities.

💙 Accessibility is at the heart of everything KataKata does, with BSL interpreters and wellbeing support throughout the day.

We’ve written a letter to @10downingstreet welcoming the Prime Minister to his new role, and setting out three big ideas for the PM to help councils like Lambeth:

1. 💷 Reverse austerity so councils can fund the essential services residents rely on.

2. Start a social housing revolution, we need to tackle the housing emergency 🚨 to house homeless families and provide affordable homes our communities need.

3. Invest in our future: our young people and our planet. Climate and social justice go hand in hand 🤝🌍 and we need the long term investment and thinking to deliver both. taken in Westminster Bridge by @lambeth_council

Football history runs deep in Lambeth. 🏆

Did you know that the first-ever FA Cup Final was played right here at the Kennington Oval in 1872, and 154 years later, the beautiful game still belongs in our parks, pitches and streets.

Tomorrow, England take on Argentina for a place in the World Cup Final.
