It’s my birthday today… and honestly, I’m just grateful. 🥹🤍

The past year has been a mix of everything 😊tears, laughter, quiet battles, and moments where I had to pick myself up all over again. There were days I showed up smiling, and people had no idea what I was carrying behind the scenes.

But through it all… God has been faithful.

I’m here. I’m standing. I’m still going. And for that alone, I am thankful.

LMA FOUNDATION OUTREACH 2026
.
I don’t even know where to start…We visited Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care and Treatment Home, and it was an experience filled with so many emotions at once. Walking through those doors, seeing children and adults with special needs… some full of life, some quiet, some fighting battles their bodies won’t let them express.
.
We met some who are bedridden… completely dependent on their caregivers for everything :bathing, feeding, even the smallest movements. And then there-were others who still go to school, trying in their own way, pushing through limitations most of us can’t even imagine.
.
Yet, in the middle of it all… they sang. They smiled. They loved. 🥹
They sang for me… and in that moment, I felt something I can’t even explain.
.
We prayed together thank you MOG @solomonmayowa_ , we shared what we brought, but honestly… it felt like they gave me more than I gave them.
.
Moments like this humble you. They remind you that life is not just about you, your struggles, or your plans.
.
This is why LAM Foundation will keep showing up. Again and again.

To everyone who supported, gave, reposted, prayed, and stood with us… thank you. Your love reached further than you know. 🤍

And this is just the beginning.

This post was prompted by a disturbing post Iyanaladuke made yesterday (the post is on the last slide) amongst several ones I have seen in the past few weeks of mothers being bullieeed and called degrading names simply because their child is autistic. The comment section of some of the post shows the level of understanding Nigerians especially have about special needs kids
.
This kind of treatment is rooted in ignorance, not truth. Autism is not a cu*rse*, not a failur***, and not the end of life, it is a neurodevelopmental condition that requires understanding, support, and inclusion.
.
As special educators, behavioral therapists, and professionals who work closely with children with special needs, we cannot stay silent. Our voices matter. When we see misinformation, stigma, or abuse, we must speak up, correct it, and advocate for these children and their families.
.
Silence allows ha*rm to continue.
Education creates change.
.
To the parents raising children on the spectrum: you are doing important, meaningful work. You deserve respect, support, and compassion not shame.
.
This is a call for awareness, advocacy, and collective responsibility.
We all can and must do better !!!

And without even realizing it, we forget to pause.

Today, nature reminded me that rest doesn’t have to be dramatic.
Sometimes it’s just stepping outside, breathing deeply, and letting your thoughts settle.

If you’ve been pushing nonstop, consider this your sign to slow down.
Go outside. Touch the grass. Watch the sky.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to take a moment for yourself.

This year isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing better with wisdom, with restraint, and with God.
Better boundaries.
Better discernment.
Better decisions that align with purpose, not pressure.

Knowing that not every open door is meant to be entered.
Not every delay is a denial , sometimes it’s divine protection.
And not everyone who applauds is assigned to the journey.
.
Maturity is knowing when to pause, pray, and let God lead quietly.
Peace isn’t optional, it’s part of God’s design and should be protected.

This year do everything you can to Unfollow every page, every account that makes you believe suffering is normal , that keeps making you think you won’t make it , the ones that jokes about suffering , about how everyone is miserable or saying you can’t make it in a particular location , or how you can never get a good job and you should accept your fate !!

WHAT YOU CONSUME SHAPE WHAT YOU BELIEVE.
Silent negative voices , the one that you listen to and it makes you shrink your vision! This year killllll doubt as much as can!!!
