What a day! 🎉 A huge thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to celebrate our Grand Opening at our Avanyu Plaza location. Seeing our community show up in such a big way reminded us exactly why co-ops matter. 💚 We want to share our gratitude with the many people and partners who helped make this possible: ✨ Our incredible leadership team at La Montañita Food Co-op, whose vision and hard work helped bring this project to life. ✨ Our dedicated Board of Directors, whose leadership and commitment help guide the co-op and keep our mission strong. ✨ The amazing team at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center for welcoming us into this special place and being such wonderful neighbors. ✨ The lenders and partners who believed in this project and helped make the financing possible. ✨ Our dedicated staff and our loyal shoppers who allow us to thrive as a community-owned co-op every single day. ✨ And our incredible community — your support, enthusiasm, and commitment to local food and local producers are what make all of this possible. We’re also so grateful to the brands and producers who joined us to celebrate and support the opening, including Sheehan Winery, Carolla’s Beeswax, Los Poblanos, Bluefly Farms, Organic Girl, Artemisa Herbs, Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery, Little Toad Creek, Chai Chai Love and many others who showed up to share their products and stories with our community. Thank you again to everyone who came out to celebrate this milestone with us. We’re so excited for this next chapter together. 💚 by @lamontanitacoop
25 seconds on the clock. Two teams. Four staff members. And A WHOLE LOT of Field Day products! 🏆😂 Our team members went head-to-head in our Field Day Stack Challenge to see who could stack the most products before time ran out. The pressure was on, the stacks were getting taller, and things got a little competitive! 👀 But there’s more to @fielddayproducts than a good stacking challenge! Now through November 17th, you can save on select Field Day products AND help give back! When you purchase Field Day items on sale at @lamontanitacoop , 0.5 cents for every dollar spent will be donated to @natifs_org (North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems). NATIFS works to revitalize Indigenous foodways and strengthen Native communities through food sovereignty, education, and the development of Indigenous food economies. Your sale purchases help support Indigenous culinary professionals, food entrepreneurs, traditional food knowledge, and access to culturally meaningful foods. So come stock up on your Field Day favorites, enjoy some savings, and support the important work of NATIFS! Good food. Great deals. And shopping that gives back. What’s not to love? PS: Dropping items may get messy. Maybe wait until you get home to try your own #FieldDayStackChallenge #LaMontanitaFoodCoop #FieldDay #NATIFS #GroceryStore by @lamontanitacoop
Every young person deserves a safe place to land and the chance to build a future. This month, La Montañita Food Co-op’s Round Up For Change program is supporting, Youth Shelters & Family Services (YSFS), a Santa Fe organization helping homeless, runaway, and in-crisis youth across Northern New Mexico. Since 1980, YSFS has worked to help young people move toward safety, stability, and independence. Their work goes beyond providing shelter. Through programs focused on transitional and permanent housing, street outreach, counseling, and support for pregnant and parenting youth, they help young people access the resources they need to take their next steps. That can mean a safe place to stay, food and essential supplies, help finding housing, access to counseling, or guidance with education and job readiness. YSFS also offers services like a food pantry, cold-weather shelter, and LGBTQ+ youth assistance. Because every young person deserves more than just getting by. They deserve support, opportunity, and the chance to shape their own future. ❤️ 🌱 How can you help? The next time you shop at La Montañita, round up your purchase at the register to support Youth Shelters & Family Services. Those extra cents can add up when our community comes together! Thank you for helping us support the organizations that care for our neighbors and help our communities thrive. 🎃 Halloween at the Co-op was looking pretty fabulous this year👻 Our Santa Fe and Avanyu Plaza teams brought their Halloween spirit to work, showing off some seriously fun costumes and giving us plenty of reasons to smile! But we have to give a BIG shoutout to Kacie from our Avanyu Plaza Team, who went all in by dressing up as none other than Travis, our Store Team Leader! 😂👏 The resemblance, the commitment, the confidence… we love to see it! A huge thanks to everyone who joined in on the fun and made Halloween at the Co-op a little more festive. Our teams don’t just make the Co-op a great place to shop — they make it a great place to work, too. 💚 Which costume is your favorite? 👀👇 #LaMontañitaFoodCoop #HalloweenAtTheCoop #Costume #HalloweenCostume #coopcostume by @lamontanitacoop

🥬🎉 We Have a #GuessTheFood Winner!🎉🥬 Congratulations to @fashionmama505 for correctly guessing this week’s mystery ingredient: Organic Mustard Greens!🙌 Mustard greens are a leafy green with a bold, peppery flavor and a little kick! So, what does our Board of Directors actually do? 👀 No, they’re not deciding where the green chile goes (that’s a different kind of important decision 🌶️). The Board helps guide the big-picture future of your Co-op. That means: 🌱 Helping set long-term goals and direction 📊 Providing financial and organizational oversight 💚 Keeping our mission, vision, and values in focus 👍 Represent our members and what they care for And because La Montañita is member-owned, you get a say in who serves on the Board. We’ve spent 50 years growing alongside our community. Now, let’s help shape what comes next! 🗳️ The 2026 Board of Directors election runs November 1st – 14th. Meet the six candidates and read the Voter Guide at lamontanita.coop/elections. (link in bio) Your Co-op. Your voice.
