30 YEARS. 40 YEARS. 50 YEARS. A LEGACY OF SERVICE! ❤️💛

Some people have a job. Others have a career. But then there are those extraordinary individuals who dedicate a lifetime to making a difference! 🙌🏾

Today, we celebrate the incredible men and women of East Baton Rouge Parish Schools who have devoted 30, 40, and even 50 YEARS of their lives to educating, inspiring, supporting, and serving generations of students and families!

Think about that for a moment. DECADES of dedication. THOUSANDS of lives impacted. GENERATIONS of greatness!

Your commitment has helped shape our school system, strengthen our community, and create opportunities for children whose lives are forever changed because of your service.

As Superintendent, I am incredibly grateful for your sacrifice, loyalty, perseverance, and unwavering belief in the power of public education.

You are more than employees. You are difference-makers, legacy-builders, and the very foundation of EBR Schools!

On behalf of our entire school system, THANK YOU for giving so much of yourselves to something so much bigger than yourselves!

30, 40, and 50 years of service isn’t just longevity. IT’S LEGACY! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

🦷😁 MILES FOR SMILES IS ROLLING INTO EBR!

Last week, we celebrated the launch of Miles for Smiles, bringing mobile dental services directly to elementary students across East Baton Rouge Parish Schools!

From Shreveport to Baton Rouge, this incredible mission is helping remove barriers by bringing quality dental care directly to our students, right where they learn. Because when we talk about educating the whole child, their health and well-being matter too.

A special thank you to Brownfields Elementary, our educators, school leaders, families, community partners, and everyone who helped make the Baton Rouge grand opening a success.

This was more than a ribbon-cutting. It represents another step toward ensuring our children have the support and resources they need to thrive.

Healthy smiles. Fewer barriers. Brighter futures. 🦷❤️

This is what partnership looks like. This is what putting students first looks like. And we’re just getting started!

💦 MAKING A SPLASH FOR SAFETY! 🏊🏾‍♂️

I’m excited about the partnership between EBR Schools and the YMCA that will provide approximately 3,000 of our 2nd-grade students with the opportunity to learn how to swim and develop critical water safety skills.

Learning to swim is more than recreation, it’s a life skill that can save a life. Every child deserves the confidence, knowledge, and skills to be safe around water.

And we didn’t just talk about it, we jumped in! 😂💦 Board members, community leaders, partners, and I hit the pool to commemorate the launch and show our students that we are ALL IN when it comes to supporting them!

Thank you to the YMCA, our board members, educators, families, and community partners for helping us make this opportunity possible for thousands of children.

This is what partnership looks like. This is what investing in the whole child looks like. Success Is In The Support! 🏊🏾‍♀️💙
