For more than 25 years, Sid was woven into the fabric of my life, a brother in every way that mattered. Some friendships come and go, but ours was the kind that grew deeper with time, a bond built on shared experiences, mutual respect, and genuine love. His passing has left a void that feels impossible to put into words.What I will remember most about him was his heart. He cared deeply about people and never hesitated to give his time. He had a warmth that drew people in and a kindness that made them feel valued. Being his friend was a gift, and knowing him made my life richer in countless ways.Some of my favorite memories are the days we spent together on the mountain. Those moments were filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and the comfort that comes from being with someone who knows you so well. Looking back, those simple times have become some of the most treasured memories of my life.Our brotherhood was also strengthened by a shared passion for design. We’d spend hours discussing ideas, materials, and the impact thoughtful design can have on people’s lives. When Sid chose to pursue a similar path, I felt immense pride. Watching him develop his talent and follow his passion was inspiring. He approached his work with curiosity, creativity, and authenticity, and I loved seeing where his vision would take him.Our connection began long before either of us could appreciate how meaningful it would become. Our mothers started a fragrance business together, creating the foundation for a friendship that would span decades. What began as a family connection grew into a lifelong bond that became an important part of who I am. I will miss the conversations, the laughter, the shared dreams.While my heart aches with his absence, I am deeply grateful for the years we shared. His friendship, love, and influence remain with me and always will. The world feels a little less bright without him, but those who loved him will carry his spirit forward through the stories we tell, the memories we cherish, and the lives he touched.Some of the images above are from a zine we created in his memory.
